    The Grappling Hook

In all the threads discussing the issue where the player could not use the grappling hook, I don't seem to recall anyone suggesting that you first have to GET the grappling hook. Forgive me if this is not your fix. But for the benefit of those who may not have gotten the hook first .... if you go to the first bell tower North East of Banapur location X:272.4 Y:444.1 at the base of that hill at location X:260.5 Y442.0 you will find the grappling hook.

I like others may have assumed the player having difficulty had already retrieved that hook. It only occurred to me while starting my second round playing this game that the player may not have ever picked it up. It's taken me a while to start a second round because I got tired of UBI Dev's not fixing the Location Marker under the water. I mean seriously, you couldn't take the time to ninja fix that for us? I'm going to assume it was a stress test for my OCD, and thanks .. you healed me. I'm all better now. I'm over it. (shakes head).

Since Act 1 is very linear and you can't even explore very far without doing the story missions in it, I would assume it's more likely controls not responding as they should, or the now and then problem with the rope getting no clipped into the rock stopping you from ascending any further. I don't know which climbing problem was addressed, but I do recall the staff saying there was a glitch in the climbing that was being worked on in one of the patches released.

As for the locations, there's also one just north of the one at the bottom of the river that remains on the map. You can still get 100% completion without them though, because locations aren't part of completion. Most every patch version has included more significant fixes they were working on, but patch 1.4 was rather light duty, making it feel like they were at times glossing over things that were mentioned a lot.

Sorry ... I wasn't paying attention here, I hadn't realized I was posting this in General .. shakes head at self ....

Yeah, got the one location where you had to use the buzzer to get it. Last one was that one under the river. In as much as I realize it wasn't counted towards 100% it still bugged me that it would have been such and easy fix ... or I assume. But I picked up everything else .. letters, chests (including the one where you had to use the Tuk Tuk (face palm) .. and the like.

I contemplated posting about the grappling hook because I realize there is/was a glitch in the animation, but considered for the sake of discussion, I would at least throw in the possibility that maybe the player didn't know he/she had to first get the Hook. Cheers Frag ....

I am playing the game again and this time round I went to Khilana Bazaar before I liberated it and I found that although I could use the Trading Post the access road to the Buzzer was blocked off by the two buses which are lying to either side after you liberate it.

Are you saying the one north of the river one (623/770) only registers if you hover above the spot on the map?

When I went there I was on foot and didn't have a Buzzer, but I did try to wingsuit/parchute off the cliff there and floated right above it in my chute, so I assumed it couldn't be unlocked.

I know there was one that was positioned just off the ground, and I hovered in a buzzer to get it, and then another one where if you stand on a rock (I think) and jump up, you trigger finding the location.

Sorry Frag, I missed your question.

Well, I don't recall the exact location, and since I've not opened up that area again, yet ... I can't confirm. But the one I was referring to where I had to use the buzzer, was the one spot SenseHomunculus (above this post), was speaking about. The one above the rock, where you either Jumped or use a buzzer to activate the location trigger. Probably is the same location your talking about.

    Hey Ubi .....
Someone walk into the Break Room, there's a guy in there sitting near the corner that's been there for almost an hour now on his break. He's complaining about how the snow plow has been pushing all the snow next to his car and he's late in the morning because he has to dig out. He's the guy wearing the plaid shirt. Walk over to the table, ask the guy if he wouldn't mind getting back to his desk, move his back pack out of the isle so someone doesn't trip over it, and suggest he get busy fixing this minor, but Irritating bug. Thanks ... thanks tons!! Forever grateful fellas ... Sincerely.

This game is a best lame

As far as lame goes this game takes it. STUPID missions, with two POS druggies that glitch all the time. An even worse Shangri la level, in which you cant see your target reticle because the heroin addicted game designer never thought of what happens when you put white on whit/blue background. When you buy a car or most other products they make a POS they recall it, why not in this industry? I think for every glitch they should refund 5% of the price at a minimum. The driving controls suck, a twig stops a .50 cal round. Have you twits thought about getting a technical advisor? Anyways RANT over
