It cycles between Bears, Tigers, Snow and Clouded Leopards, Wolves, and Dholes. You can pretty much get all but your Sambar, Badger and Yak pelts there, leaving you only the rare animals.
I did not know that that location gave a variety but up river there is a turret at a bridge straight west of ??? Brick ??? outpost that I did the same thing at for all of the predators skins including the snow leopards clockner. The bridge with the letter at the left side of it right in front of the turret. With the turret you don't use your ammo or risk getting killed however with these weapons a high spot like you said you are safe. lol I just started a new play through and following these tips I have all crafting up to fashion week skin except the one that I need some yak for and then more bear to get it to that point. Wallet and the one needing the fish fashion week are maxed.

These are some great early game fast kick butt start tips in this thread fellas
By following these tips and not spending too much of your cash on weapons early you can spend some money on the maps that lead you to all of the cash flow that you will need.

Ha, that is if you don't get crazy like I do and challenge yourself to lure Rhinos in front of one like I do early in the game. I'm talking about the nest in from of Longinus' first meeting place.

It can get pretty dicey, and result in desperate dashes from big tree cover to the turret. It's actually easier sometimes to lure one toward the guys shooting at the targets for a distraction, or getting atop a big rock and luring them near, them tossing a cooked grenade in their face and chasing them down with the shotgun.

Yeah I know elephants make it really easy, but I like a challenge. LOL

The only frustrations I usually have with hunting early on is Yaks can be hard to get to spawn sometimes. Those I hunt with arrows though. Easy prey if you get just close enough to make them charge after one shot, but far enough away to get in the 2nd kill shot before they reach you. Clean kills like that also yield 2 pelts per Yak with the Harvester skill.

I will be going for yaks after work. I found all the rhinos I needed along the river right under the rhino logo near tea terras(sp). I just had to walk up and down the bank back and forth from the bridge to the turret. It didn't take too long, not as long as I thought it was going to just don't give up because when you are ready to give up and move on to something else for a bit 2 will walk out for a drink in perfect Z93 side head shot position.
My game plan after some yak and bear is all south towers, main quest line to open the north, Ghala Homestead as soon as it is available to get the fountain body armor machine, garden, and buzzer as soon as cash flow allows. Open north, all North towers to get the buzzsaw and then just have fun. Outposts, fortresses side quest etc.

    Interesting. Never saw the SA50.
I guess I have to play more main missions first. Just completed Key to North.
I dont see the SA 50 in the weapons grid though. Its part of the normal game right? No DLC required?

Yaks? A good spot is across the fallen log near (head east) that northernmost tower in the southern region where you pick up the z97.

I found six of them there once and also picked up a honey badger or two.

May Pagan's light shine upon you all.

Around there is also the best place for Yaks; respawn of the sniper group (up to 4) will occur if you don't take the tower; fly off ~3-400m and return if one of the guys with the Z93 or P416 don't show or they drop the weapon over the cliff. Then grind around the Airport for the RPG and PKM and you're ready for anything

All the predators can be bait lured right in the middle of Khilana Bazaar, hop on the roof above the Alarm Box and toss the bait into the middle of town - careful, the big cats can also get up there and join you.

SA50 is my favourite sniper too but the Z93 is good enough.

Jeez, a Z93 for hunting, that's almost cheating. I save that baby for the animals that can reason, albeit artificially.

As for the 416, I'm holding out for the A52, which SHOULD be the weapon unlocked for ranking to 10 in the arena IMO. I'm doing nothing but story missions until I get it, but am hung up right now doing a stealth speedrun video of Kill or Be Killed. God I hate Willis in this game. Such a turd.

    Z93 for rhinos for me, well a lot of z93 lately..lol I z93 a monkey last night,,,,, I win.
Z93 2 bears 1 shot??? I shot a bear in the upper shoulder perfectly lined up and fighting with another and unless the one killed the other at the moment that I pulled the trigger it was a 2fer.
Bears and Yaks loaded at Ghana Summit. There is a bear logo near by but no yak logo on the map anywhere near here but it is a yak factory. Bald mountain top so you can see everywhere around you. Just zig zag or circle walk around and you cant help but see them all over the place with bears mixed in chasing the yak around. It is 5 or 6 to 1 yak to bear and I got the 5 bear that I needed in less then 10 min. LOADED.

It is not on my 2nd play through list either at the moment. You get it after doing the 2nd mission in the North called Payback. No special dlc or bonus type game is required.

Get the Unlocker and/or Attachments mod online and it comes much easier.
