Escape from D. Where are the wild boars?

I only see the one on the map and I spent 10 mins in that area with no luck. Thanks

You can get them when you conquer Keo Gold Storage. I believe there are usually 4 of them (and 3 Tapirs and a snow leopard) in the loot chest inside the safehouse you can enter after taking over the outpost.

^That's where I got my Tapir pelts, but I've yet to actually see any live Tapirs in this DLC. I have one more Tapir pelt to get, so I need to head back there. I don't recall seeing any Sambars either, so I must have gotten them in that chest too. Need one more of those as well. I have seen a few Boars mingling somewhere, but don't recall where.

All those can be found on the map. I found the boars in the top left corner, around Yalung's stomach.. The map even indicates it. Tapirs can be found at X:614 Y:774, as MRQSPAR06 pointed out in the beginning of this topic. A little higher up that road I also found Sambars. Although I got most of my Sambar skins from chests too, along with all the honey badger skins I needed. Saved me a lot of agony over hunting those damned creatures.

^ Well turns out I'd forgotten I'd seen some Sambars, as I again saw them the same way, running along side a road for easy roadkill.

And yes I know the map shows Boars, never argued that or had any trouble finding them. Tapirs however I've checked that spot on the map when it was first mentioned and found none. I also lingered a while and searched the whole area, as I know how they tend to roam. As I said I've yet to see any at all in my numerous restarts playing the DLC, and I've covered a fair bit of ground in this map.

The only reliable info I've seen on hard to find animals is the mention of Clouded Leopards being near the Rhino icon, but even that took quite some time throwing bait and cycling through endless animals of other types. I had two big heaps of dead animals and the sun started going down on me. LOL

Badgers I had no problem hunting with bow and got double skins with Harvester.

My main issue is that it's a time based DLC and some of the crucial animals for upgrades have near useless map info, which makes hunting them a waste of valuable time. It's a grind DLC, but in the end it's based on not how quickly you do things or how many lives it takes, but what your longest life is. So you end up focusing on different things each life.

That's all good and well until it comes down to what appears to be a leaderboard system not being thought out very well. Apparently the difficulty is tied to that which you have the main campaign set at, but the leaderboard does not seem to distinguish that in the stats as far as I can tell. Obviously that would skew your results, as Hard, esp with so many RA and predators about, is way more difficult than Easy.
