    [SPOILER] Supply Drop Storyline Resolution

    Hi

I just finished the aforementioned storyline and was left with some curious questions.

    Spoiler:  Show
Who was actually Gopal and what was he doing?

There's a short reddit thread about it: http://www.reddit.com/r/farcry/comme...nding_spoiler/. My personal opinion is that it could be that journalist that many of the notes scattered in the same area of Kyrat, where the final bunker is, talk about.

Also, at the start and end of each mission Gopal was talking like he was really high. I thought the 'supplies' were actually drugs. But it doesn't make complete sense.

In the final mission Gopal said that they were coming for him or something like that and I think he mentioned the Royal Army but I'm not 100% sure. So it is possible he really was that journalist, because Pagan Min wanted to catch him and pull his nails out and other nasty stuff (this was in one of the notes about the journalist).

    What do you think?

At first I thought he was a spy working for the Royal Army to intercept Golden Path supplies. He's obviously lying many times to Ajay. Then I thought maybe he's a neutral civilian just trying to make money somehow to get himself and/or his family the hell out of war torn Kyrat.

I noticed one time he said something like "thank Jyra", and Ajay corrects him and says "don't you mean thank Kyra?", followed by a bad excuse for mispronouncing it again.

*insert Futurama Fry suspicious look here*

No idea who he's supposed to be. From the notes in the last bunker, he's not from Kyrat.

I thought he was CIA, possibly working with Willis. If he was a journalist it wouldn't make sense for him to have secure facilities decked out with computers.

Yeah I figured the exact same thing.

    Spoiler:  Show
I thought he was working to gather intelligence for Willis Huntley and was part of the cleanup. That's why he was getting more and more nervous, and was finally found dead.

    That makes sense.

Something else I noticed about this quest line at the start. When you answer the radio for the very first mission you give your name and pronounce it AJ GALE. Gopal seems to think about this a bit then pronounces your name ARJAY GAH-LE which is the local pronunciation of your name (you can find that out from listening to the radio station or just concluding it from how others pronounce it). Given that the first mission presumably happens straight after you free the first tower it is unlikely you have made a name for yourself yet but Gopal still knows you and how to say your name correctly. To me that suggests he is a local but is working for a third power.
