Come on, less strict map boundaries please. :(

Is there any chance of the map boundaries ever being expanded a little bit? As I'm traveling through the beautiful valleys and mountains of Kyrat, I randomly end up getting the "out of bounds - turn back!' message out of nowhere.

I don't mind natural boundaries in games that much (too steep hills to climb and such), but when you're walking though a big-*** open grass field and arbitrarily getting the warning message halfway through, I'm kind of bummed. Especially just when I thought I found a kick *** spot for a wingsuit flight.

The boundaries just seem random and inconsistent throughout. Would really appreciate it if eventually a little more time would be spent on this to allow a bit more freeroaming around the edges of Kyrat.

That is all. Thanks for reading.

That makes no sense, no matter how big the game is there has to be an unpassable boundary somewhere even if they expanded it some more

Invisible borders are annoying. I should totally be able to go up north instead of being met with "lol nope, it's not really open world" when I go under the bridge. Make it impossible then. If you don't want us to go there, make it inaccessible like the Royal Palace is before you take the fortress. I really tried to get up there ahead of time, it physically can't be done.
It's like the game is laughing in your face.

The story mission would still make sense, they need the bridge to get vehicles, soldiers and gear over there.

(silly I know, but we need to complain about something, right?)

They're annoying but in a game world this large and detailed, the more playable area you have, the more it affects performance. To give you an idea, I heavily modded the Ascension level of Crysis so you could land and exit the VTOL and I found that pretty much ALL the trees had no physical prpperties. You could no clip right through them.

Despite there being a mission to save the convoy (that is scripted to get blown up), none of the tunnels on the road it's traveling are open. I had to mod in openings to make it passable. It's a good level to mod, but the more you add on the ground, the more the frame rate goes down if you stay to the air.

Most of it would just be uninteresting exploring and sight seeing anyway. I've gone beyond the map into the mountains in two spots in the north until I got to the out of bounds warnings, and my goal of seeking good wingsuit launch spots was met with frustration. There's just not many places to get long flights from due to so much high ground and trees in the way.

As far as half the map being inaccessible until the story progresses, it's obviously to simulate an impenetrable Royal Army presence and lack of Golden Path readiness to commit to that. Being able to just wander up there any time you want would somewhat take away that mystique. Sure it requires some suspension of disbelief, but it's no different than the south island in FC3 being off limits until the later part of the game.
