    Arena Mode is GARBAGE

This is by far the worst part of Far Cry 4, don't get me wrong. I love everything else and I have 100% the game, I just find this mode annoying and terribly setup. The wave are unproportional and the difficulty scales to high to fast along with the annoance of my takedowns being complete garbage when in the arena. Maybe if these things were fixed it wouldn't be to bad but until then...

Arena seemed hard to me at first, until I started using cover spots better and let them go at one another while sneaking around. Helps to have Non Stop (fast crouch), Heavy Takedown, Cover Takedown, , Knife Throw Takedown, Death From Above, Two Slot manual healing, and of course at least 4 or more health slots.

I don't mean traditional cover objects so much as spots to stay out of sight until its safe to do sneak attacks or scavenge. The exception being when tough animals come and there's not enough humans to kill them, then I try and stay out of sight to help kill them off before going after humans. I use the doors behind the big rock atop the stairs at the side with the wide upper deck as a niche to hide in, then I get at the bottom of the stairs behind the rock to prepare for the final round.

Common sense and stealth rules in Arena. It's all about picking whom to kill and leave alive to maintain a balance until you're ready to finish off the stragglers. Weapon management and pickups are part of the strategy. I save my throwables for the last round and if I need to, I use barrels instead on tough animals before the final round.

Always let heavies pair off til one goes down, and pickup heavy weapons while others are going at it when you can. Stay crouched on the upper deck to scavenge weapons and crowd pickups. In Weapons Challenge try and leave some humans for when the Rhino comes out, and if you get caught being chased by it, run off the ledges to slow its pursuit.

Arena isn't as hard as it first seems though, and takedowns work fine. I don't see anything to "fix" really. My first time with it I had only 4 health slots and one slot manual healing and no takedown skills and still managed to adapt with a system and get to rank 10 (on Normal). Where it gets hard is the Badgers in Weapons Challenge, Some say there's an invulnerability glitch.
