You can always start a "new game" from the main menu screen, but apparently it's a good idea to wipe out the 420 folder (or the two files) first for what apparently would be a "clean" new game. I've seen posts from folks that indicate just starting a new game after playing FC4 can result in some components of the game not working as it should and did, in the original play through. How that could happen is beyond me, but it might be due to what's actually saved out there in Uplay's cloud.
I also wiped out the folder for a second go through. Also have gone completely off-line on Uplay and remain with patch 1.5 as I await a better graphics card.
As for the arena; outright hate that requirement as the means to acquire any weapon. I suffer thru to level 2 just to unlock a specific skill.
What I mean is that the last time I fired up Uplay and let it update FC4, it was with patch 1.5. I have since started Uplay, selected off-line, and have not attempted to play FC4 via Uplay with the forced update that would take place. I assume now it would be the 1.7 patch.Originally Posted by Ranger_Vet68 Go to original post
This is different than playing the FC4 game from the main menu in either on-line (for Co-op) or off-line (no Co-op). From the main menu I've always selected off-line, since I have no friends ...![]()
