Where can I find the silenced sniper weapon in the Escape From Durgesh DLC?

The silenced sniper weapon was my most favorite weapon. I took down entire fortresses with it. Does anyone know where it is located in the DLC? (Ie/ is it at a certain outpost? in a certain cave, etc)

Also, I'm looking for the MG42 machine gun as well. Anyone know where that one's located?

    Spoiler:  Show
The Buzzsaw is in the north east fortress. The Ripper is in the south east outpost.

I'm actually looking for the silenced sniper too but I haven't seen it yet.

Have you tried returning and re-conquering those outposts? I was thinking each time you do it, the powerful weaspon might be a different one? Or is it always the same one?

By the way have you upgraded all your crafting upgrades to the max? I started a thread here asking where to find the final animal upgrades (the "special" animals which we had to find in the Fashion Week quests). Did you find them all?

They weapons SHOULD be in the same places every playthrough. I found the buzzsaw and ripper in the same outposts every playthrough.

BTW I also found the bushman at the same outpost as the ripper. Sometimes I think they're just lying around the outpost but I just missed it.

I haven't found all the animal upgrades. Some rare skins I think just appear in boxes.

Ok I take that back. Weapons outside of the red door room could be random. Just went to where I got the bushman, and it's not there anymore.

I found a silenced sniper rifle at Yalung's Stomach (top right corner) but it's not the powerful one I'm looking for. It takes a few shots to kill someone (unless directly shot in the head). The one I'm looking for is the one shot, one kill silenced sniper rifle. I do have a powerful one shot one kill sniper rifle but it doesn't have a silencer. So far it's doing the job for me but I'm really looking for that powerful silenced sniper that I like. If you ever find out its location, please feel free to share...

I found one at Shanath Breeders. In the northwest area of the Durgesh DLC.

Yeah I found the Predator I think (signature M700), but passed on it. I've found you're better off going in close with distractions, takedowns, the bow and throwing knives than risking alerts via a weak sniper rifle. It's really only good for taking out alarms from a distance, but just setting up for that can tick off a considerable amount of time.

I'm playing EFD with the main campaign set on Hard now that I realize it's not built around how fast you do things, but how well you grind. The only real penalty to death is losing the items from Min's Perks missions, as they don't carry over. The strategy then obviously becomes taking on Medium level jobs until you build up your gear, then Hard, etc. I've even done some grind hunting. Near the Rhino icon you can cycle through various types of animals via throwing bait, and there's a rock from which you can easily do it safely. I finally got my Clouded Leopard pelts there. I quit hunting when I had all but the Thick Skin and Karkadann for explosives and heavy ammo max. I've been getting by fine on 6 Mines and C4 and 36 M79 rounds.

The real turning point is sneaking in the back of Rajgad Gulag and taking it on from inside the cave to secure the Buzzsaw.. It's good to at least have the M79 with 36 grenade capacity when you do though, which can be had at Bhirabata Outpost in the Northwest area. Having 6 capacity C4 and Mines is also advised due to the many Heavies that come, and the Bow with some explosive arrows can help for choppers. At the end of the day though, you really only need hole up in the cave and worry about he choppers last. Even having 15 grenades to toss can take out at least 2, as there are many places to hide once the ground troops are gone. The last one comes in low for an easy M79 blasting.

If you're playing mostly for a smooth extraction vs leaderboard score, which I'm not sure is soundly structured anyway, definitely pay attention to the Min's Perks items, as they affect extraction itself more than anything, save for maybe the Buzzsaw and a max capacity ammo bag, as well as Gadget Training, which can speed up chopper repair. With this method you're unlikely to need to repair it though. The Min's Perks I found very useful were 1) Hostage Rescue (Hard), which gives access to Helper Tokens in the world and adds rebel reinforcements at the extraction point, 2) Yuma's Wrath (Easy), which adds mortars and mounted guns to the extraction point, and 3) Bomb Defusing (Medium), which which adds explosive gadgets and barrels to the extraction point.

Note that Yuma's Wrath is not all that Easy if your main campaign is set on Hard and you're not very accurate and quick with the grenade canon. Even if you are, it helps to lay down a couple mines on the bridge first. And don't forget there's two grenade canons. I also found Hostage Rescue doesn't really feel like a Hard level mission. You don't need to save all hostages and if you so much as get to the room which has two of them with a decent weapon, it's an easy win really. Plus you have a tiger and bear cage inside the camp to use against them.

The only other two Min's Perks missions are Eye for an Eye, and Propaganda Center, which give you the Gyro and Elephants in the world, and ammo, syringes, body armor, and animal cages at the extraction point. I didn't see a need for either. You can get around reasonably fast via wingsuiting and land/water vehicles, and most level up their health before extracting. Plus it's not hard to find lots of Green Leaf on the way there. I'm also not a big fan of having to scrounge for syringes and armor while fending off waves, and ammo can be had just by running over corpses. I'd also rather not have to bust open animal cages, and they can attack you as well if you're not careful. Better to have bait to toss IMO. Besides, these two are Hard rated and actually feel Hard, and farther to get to, leaving you less time to extract and increasing your chance of dying and losing all your Min Perks.

Where I think they messed up most is the leaderboard does not account for the difficulty mode the main campaign is on, and it should also be categorized by player rank, which could be determined by how much gear and skills you have. Basically a rating system based on your survival skills/gear and lethality. A person on Easy after lots of grinding and gear and skill accumulation might be able to survive 3 hours easily, while someone on Hard having very little skills and gear might only last a half hour on average. There's no way to tell what someone has accomplished in the leaderboard stats because it does not account for these crucial things.

I looked for this too but that is a sniper that can't be found in EfD as far as my experience goes. The only snipers that are that powerful and silenced are the Z93 and the AS50, both with silencer upgrades. And that is where you'll have a problem since there are no upgrades in EfD, only stock and signature weapons. The Predator is the only silenced, signature sniper in the game.
My solution was to carry both a Predator for normal enemies, who still go down with one headshot, and a Z93 for the heavies that are left over.
