I open Uplay hit the play button, i get as far as the small black window with the FC4 logo and then "Far Cry 4 has stopped working" I have never had this problem before and have tried validating files through steam and re installing the game but no luck any help?
My game, which aside from random crashes has run relatively well, has also stopped loading as of the 1.7.0 patch. Sometimes it will get as far as "Setting up Profile" but mostly it just hangs on a full black screen right on startup. I've been running Afterburner without issue with the previous versions of the game, but exiting it now does not solve the problem. Before closing the process in task manager it sits there, unresponsive, using 100% of the first CPU core.
edit: A full reinstall fixed this even though Steam successfully verified the game files. Can't wait for the excitement 1.8.0 brings :P
Had a similar issue after update 1.7.0.
Got as far as loading screen after clicking "continue" in menu, then crashes midway when loading.
Have uninstalled and re-installed game, tried verifying cached files and shut down all peripherals as well, with no luck.
Anyone have any ideas?
