Why cannot we modify a track description before publishing it....

    Seriously ?

I just passed one of my tracks in 28 minutes and a couple restarts, put the tags, verified the medal goals, and then tried to publish it. The game said I couldn't publish it because of a illegal word which is already a stupid thing 'cos there's NO ILLEGAL WORD. Not. At. All. Here's the track description.

"What happened ? Did someone mess up with the cryotherapy system ?"

Where is your illegal word ? Tell me ??????

Is it "mess up" ? Okay I apologise to the little 3yo children if they're shocked by this word.... I bet even 3yo kids wouldnt be shocked.

And now I'm forced to pass the track AGAIN, because even though we're in 2015, we cannot modify ANYTHING before publishing the track.

So, when are we gonna be able to modify the track settings before uploading it ?

PS : Sorry for the rant but I'm really about to smash everything..

It's because of the word cryotherapy. The word cry in it is stopping you I think.

    Hi

For information, we don't decide which words are in the list, it's a feature of the console I don't even know the list.

I agree with you, that's weird though

    Cheers,

The isn't the good question psykoz, the good question is "Why did you remove the ability to upload a track when we time out or do 500 faults ?" ...

Thanks for explaining en0. Finally managed to put my track online but still, I've lost easily over 1 hour because of that...

@Jeruhnq: Yeah, thats another big mystery... I agree it's not the best way to upload a track but it could've been useful for situations like mine.

Because that's not passing the track, it's going around the rule that you need to pass it. The fact that you could do it in Evo wasn't intended and you were never suppose to upload a track by timing out or faulting 500 times.

thats also most likely why there is far to many skill games that dont actually work lol. Proberbly should be more proof within the uploading of skill games also. Haven't the foggiest how that would be done tho

I agree with you but the fact is even with this fix we can upload tracks without pass them (for people who know a bit the editor).
Some people prefere to upload the track easily - specialy if there is some problems like the description and you need to re-pass the track - and pass the track after it's uploaded (to display their name in LB).

For me, this fix is a bad thing because now more people will use another way to upload their tracks and maybe some people will use them to display their names in LB and say they passed the track

Personally, i never used this '2nd solution' to be sure everyone on my tracks pass them 100% legit (in case of someone could open my tracks in the editor).

If you want to upload the track without passing it you could just do some editor magic to make the track end could you not? Just make it a sort of code you need to enter.

Either that or make the obstacles change and drive to the finish.

I could be more helpful if I had used the editor since evo.
