Outposts Stealth approach sometimes not possible thanks to incapable Level Designers

Ok , so iam approaching Kyra Tea Weigh Station . The first outpost of the open world to the right of the very first outpost you liberated for amita . So iam sneaking , into the bushes , i want this outpost undetected ( as always ) . What the hell ? A guard is screaming , WTF ? Noone saw me whats happening here . Great , a elephant is charging the outpost and i did nothing to make this happening . Stealth run ruined , the guards are on edge and detected me .....

Lets analyze why this happend !

    1. The placements of the elephants near outposts are nothing but stupid and made by a guy who just placed them and spend no second thougth about the actuall placements he made and what they could cause . They are placed near the main roads to make sure that even the bloodyest noob sees them and there is where the problem starts . As soon as a vehicle like a supply truck is approaching the elephant gets angry and chases the vehicle into the outpost ......

Well ok , i guess that was just a thing wich happens once and never again so lets continue .

    Rochan Co. Shipping Outpost .

Same approach , as always i want that outpost undetected . Throwing knife Headshot to takedown to knife throw takedown , things are going well , noone saw me , then suddenly the same stupid **** happens again . A elephant wich is placed directly to a road was made angry because of a vehicle driving by again and now is attacking the outpost and of course ..... my stealth run is over again .

Removing such problems would be so easy . Just put the elephant a few meters more away from the main roads so they dont get angry by passing vehicles and give the players the ability to stealth through this .

Also make a mission zone around the Outpost like you did in the quests so that when you enter it and fail , because of the stupid animal placements or whatever by ubisoft generated bug happens during the liberation you can simply press ESC and can restart it . In addition to the opportunity to press ESC and restart it the mission zone makes cars from the golden path drive away and not drive right into the f****** outpost to again destroy your stealth approach AGAIN .....

You should maybe get some propper gamers in your boat wich can give you reasonable feedback to make the actuall gameplay experience better . Stop inviting those youtuber´s with maybee high subscribers but no skills at all . You should realize that those aren´t far cry players and their feedback ( if the even give feedback ) is worth a wet fart . You know what they do after they made their play through of far cry 4 for their channel ? They never touch the game again . Invite players to test play your game wich are addicted to the far cry franchise and know about its game mechanics . This would be one way to make your game better instead of adding youtubers with high subscribers with no skills or understandment of far cry game mechanics .

Dont get me wrong , iam still in love with far cry 4 but those are such things where iam asking myself if anyone ever thinks twice about what they are doing interms of game mechanics / level design .

Yeah but, the game is meant to show random chaos. You can still remain undetected with no alarms as long as you stay undetected. Actually, the animals should give you an advantage as you can destroy the alarm boxes whilst the humans fight against others.

This is entirely based on what you consider stealth. As a default play style, I'm a sniper. The longer the shot, the more I'm at home. I've had more issues with reaching the distance limit on the rifles more than anything else. That being said, it's all a matter of using the tools at hand. I really do get the issue with elephants and rhinos, but they don't actually alert the guards to your presence. You can even test this with bait while sitting in a bush a good distance away. I took about 70% of the outposts unseen by just simply sitting in bushes above the outposts and fortresses. Another big thing is breaking the radio boxes first before anything. Use the elephant bug and the other animals as a tool and not as an obstacle. Take the time to kill off the boxes while you can while they're distracted with the elephant. Heck, even throw out your own bait. If you're lucky you'll pull any of the cats and they can take out half the guys for you. It all still counts as stealth.

I think you guys dident quite got my point . I know that i can stay undetected even if a elephant is charging but as soon as something like a elephant , rhino , golden path pickup or whatever makes the guards frightened interfers my whole tactics are worth a fart since its just random chaos . For casual gamers this might be fun but for me personaly thats not the way i like it . I want to do it my way and not in a way ubisoft and casual gamers thinks is cool .
You got the bait so if you want chaos you can create it but i dont need the game to create chaos randomly and most important most time by accident of the AI communication . If i want a elephant in the outpost ill grab one , i dont need the game to bring one into it by accidents . Same goes for Golden Path pickups , i got guns for hire token and i can call them anytime i want , so there is no need to let a golden path pickup drive into a hostile outpost randomly to create chaos .....
It would be so easy to fix that problem . Just make a "mission zone" wich let animals and vehicels turn around before entering and there would be no random chaos , and still , if you want that chaos , you can create it by yourself with guns for hire token , bait or whatever you think is "cool" .

Then play Far Cry 3. They wanted to make differences between the two.

What a stupid argument since the same things existed in fc3 not with elephants / golden path picups but with tigers or pirate pickups .

Actually that's not quite what you said in your opening paragraph though. You complained that the elephant CAUSED you to be detected. So this is not just placement of animals, it's YOU not staying concealed. For that matter it's also YOU not seeing that an animal known to conflict with the Royal Army being already near the outpost, requires a little observation and preparation if you want to avoid such occurrences.

My first thoughts when I saw an elephant poised right in front of the first scripted story mission outpost, and one nearby in this outpost just SE of there, were A) they are introducing you to distraction options, B) they are introducing you to the option to commandeer an elephant to aid in an overt style of infiltration, and C) they are giving you easy ways of getting your first two outposts undetected, which unlocks the Soft Landing skill, which in turn makes it possible to get the Non Stop Skill. Both of which are handy early in the game.

The rest is up to the player to figure out, but trust me, there are very easy ways to avoid the scenario you painted. Did you know that merely tossing a rock at an elephant will get it to run away from the side of it the rock landed on him? This makes it pretty easy to send an elephant away, or send it toward a camp.

There have even been some insisting the NPCs are scripted to automatically be alerted after the first or second shot is fired, no matter what the weapon or your location, which is completely false. I have several times taken outposts and fortresses without raising any suspicion at all. I'm sure there's videos on YouTube proving it too.

So no, it's not us not getting your point, it's the common complain instead of observe mantra that's getting really old here. So don't be surprised if someone gets fed up and suggests the game isn't for you, because you're not giving it much patience or deserved attention to detail. There's a lot of little nuances in this game that can be utilized.

It's not so much that kirk made a "stupid" argument, he made an assessment based on your lack of appreciation of the differences here. Those differences can often require a slight change of tactics. This is another thing I don't get about a lot of the complaints. You'll see some complain it's the same thing as Far Cry 3, then they'll complain about things that in fact make the gameplay itself somewhat different.

I think "Stev1L" is upset the game was not made to fit his on personal fighting style, not to mention that he is a "Big Cry Baby". I mean what if I said " I don't like it when an AI comes up beside me on a four wheeler and starts shooting at me ". Wow that is part of the game, just like when an elephant comes into the camp. Try harder Stv1L I know you will get there.

So what you suggest me ? Looking out for elephants if i approach a outpost and shoot them so they dont get mad because of passing vehicels so i eleminate the "random elephant attack option" myself ? Sure i could do that but there is another solution to fix such problems aswell by just placing them a few meters of main roads so they dont get frightend by passing vehicels and chasing them into the outpost ......

Of course i know that but dude , if i want to make a quick outpost liberation and when iam approaching the outpost on the other the side where the elephant dont stands , do you realy think i want to sneak past the outpost just to lure the elephant away to eliminate that one factor .......

Dude i got youtube videos myself where i liberate all outposts & fortress undetected only by using takedown combos , i know how to play games . I just dont like the fact that they place the elephants to cause this kind of trouble . As i said casual gamers maybee think that this stuff is cool and funny but for me its just nothing but anoying if those things happen without me doing anything to make this happen . I want to liberate a outpost undetected , no need any help from a elephant .....

Yes iam upset that no matter how skilled you are as a player interms of stealthing if a elephant gets frightend and rushes the outpost your whole approach wont work the way like it could have worked . I wish that they just placed the elephants a bit more off the main roads so they dont get angry from passing vehicels and chasing them into the outpost to ruin your whole stealth run . I dont need to try anything harder , iam a skilled player and can make a perfect use of far cry´s game mechanics . Iam just upset about the fact that ubisoft places the animals so there is going to be mess at some points , but by just placing them a few meters of the main roads it could be desided by the user if the elephant should create chaos or not , thats all .

I quoted this one line because it best sums up how exaggerated and petty this complaint is. We're not only talking about just two outposts here, but now it appears you only ever approach each one from the direction you happen to be coming at it. Total laziness.

I can just imagine what you have to say about the concept of disabling alarms from a distance via silenced shots. The audacity of them actually placing them so you can't get a line on all of the alarm boxes from the one direction you happen to be approaching!

And I don't really buy the know how to play the game claim. Anyone that has the patience to slog through a 40+ hr game should have the patience to avoid elephants intruding, or at the very least to remain concealed while they do.

That leaves the explanation being you just not having the sense of knowing what to do at times to achieve your desired results. People that know how to play games well generally don't whine about things that are easily solved by changing tactics slightly.
