I have started routing to SPEEDRUN this game so...HOW DO I SKIP THE INTRO CUTSCENE!!!

i'll go crazy if I have to watch a 15 minute intro before I start running every single time. Please, to keep my sanity intact, please for the love or Kyra, teach me how to skip the intro cutscene! I have tried that '-skipintro' b.s but no luck. I JUST WANT TO SPEEDRUN

In other news...I just completed the prologue in 8:46 but I won't share it here just incase I get banned for 'advertising' or somethin which sucks...wouldn't have minded someone actually watching my runs </3

skipintro works, you must be doing something wrong, occasionally a new patch will require you to make a new desktop shortcut to ad 'skipintro' but the last patch still left mine working

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Ubisoft\FarCry 4\bin\FarCry4.exe" -skipintro

For what its worth...if it helps...I'm playing through UPLAY and not STEAM. I should have pointed that out. Does it make a difference? I copied the shortcut to my desktop and entered what you said. Then when on the game menu I clicked on 'start new game' and yeah...had to sit through the cutscene. No luck

I'm playing via Uplay also so I'm not sure why yours doesn't work!
Lets just check, you went to program filesX86 /Ubisoft/ Farcry4/ Bin/ & then selected the black square FarCry4 & right click create shortcut,
I just redid mine following the same as above so i don't get why yours doesn't work

skip intro only skips the ads when you launch the game. it does not skip the intro when you start a new game.

    Play through the intro cutscene.

Save it when it is finished.

    Quit fc4.

Make a backup copy of your saved game. Google the location this stored.

When you need to start a new game copy your saved backup back into the fc4 save game position.

Hi, I don't want to be a pain, but this sounds promising and you sound confident....so....how do I do it? Make a back up copy? Youtube tutorial?

A tutorial can be found in the post in this forum HOW TO MAKE YOUR OWN MULTIPLE SAVES. The link is below.

    http://forums.ubi.com/showthread.php...ation-Script)?

Im on my second play through and I make a backup after every session so if I want to I can go back to any point in the game.

This was useful when I was having problems with the Willis mission not starting properly. I was able to just copy in one of my backups and try some things to bsort it out. In the end the problem was I had to return to yogi and regi to do the first shangrila mission before Willis missions would start.

I'm very interested in seeing a run of this. Whoever did Far Cry 3 in 3 and a half hours or so is a genius... these games are not speedrun friendly.
