How do i up my game? | Forums

So i've been playing trials fusion for 3 full days now.
It is my first trial game ever played and i really really enjoy it!
Now i've come to the point where i'm getting stuck in advancing on the global leaderboards.
Right now i'm somewhere around 950ish.

Can someone tell me how the score in the leaderboards work? for example, i'm currently level 107 and have an overal score of 16mil+
A friend of mine is just below me with 15.5mil and he is only level 67. I'm ahead of him on every track as well! (yes i checked every track)
Is there something i'm missing out on that gives a huge boost on the leaderboards? score based?

I don't get how the score is made up, where it is made up from. is it based on the trials tracks and your current place on the leaderboard on THAT track?
Do the DLC tracks count as well?

I could't really use some help! Since i really enjoy this game i want to be darn good at it too!

Levels are completely seperate from rankings.

Levels are XP based in 3 categories:
- Single Player (XP for Medals & Challenges)
- Player vs Player (Currently Tournaments), might soon include the new upcoming multiplayer
- Track Central (Completing custom tracks grants XP)

Leaderboard score is calculation of Faults & Time, 0 faulting a track gives a huge score boost. (See the above link posted, it's still also time dependant)

DLC does count in the total score/levels.

0 Faulting all the extremes gives you MASSIVE score. 0 Faulting every track and getting top 30s should put you around 20-30th in the world.

I once asked a similar question about being faster generally and SwagDeflector replied that its all about landings and take-offs. This was invaluable and really did help me when it clicked. It really is as simple as that if you are looking to try to speedrun.
Thanks Swag, not sure if I ever thanked you for that advice but it got me from rank 2000 where I had hit a wall down to top 400 on crash county glb, top man.
