So i spent about 10 hours over the last several days building a map. I put tons of detail, planned out all the Enemies and where they would stand/patrol. I spent forever planning out cages with animals that when tested in the Map Editor worked fine and behaved exactly like in Campaign. However when I finally saved for the last time and pulled up my map in the Full game I found that the animals would not leave their cages when released. I tried everything, I tested it a million times in the Editor and it worked fine, but as soon as i open Far Cry 4 and play the map the animals (in my case I tried Leopards/Tigers/Bears) would not leave the cage no matter what, they even attack you when you get close but will never move from the spot.
TL,DR;
in short, I cannot place hostile animals in cages and release them in my Custom Outpost Map.
I found the same issue with my Outpost map. I spent days perfecting every route and detail etc. only to find out that my one caged animal (bear) won't leave unless I literally put myself in the cage and let him attack me, then try and back out...he followed once. It worked perfectly in my beta testing, once published, locked in place.
I say definite bug. What cage prop number were you using, maybe we can narrow it down, unless it's all of them? I was equally bothered by the destructible door not being destructible, completely ruined my planned strategy, oh well to be expected, but a fix would be nice!

I don't think that would really help because the props work correctly when playing the game while testing. It's only after publishing that it stops working correctly. Since ubisoft has this extremely stupid bass ackwards way of NOT ALLOWING UPDATES OR DELETIONS, you would probably just get more and more clutter that still doesn't work correctly. Plus it would look odd to have to tilt them, but good idea and it may work.Originally Posted by JolanXBL Go to original post
Not wanting to hijack this thread, but I am VERY frustrated at the fact that you can't update or delete your own creations, specifically when it comes to a fault by the game, not the creator! It's literally the dumbest thing I have ever seen in a gaming environment. I mean ubisoft prefers gigs of wasted server space and total confusion to users searching for maps?!? Yeah, 9 maps with the same name/pic, brilliant..it's much better! They should simply allow updates or deletions of our maps. This would temporarily solve the issue that Agent_CO and myself are having with the broken props.
Do you have any idea how annoying it is to listen to a bear in a growl cycle for the entire game!?!?!?Heh heh
