I wonder what happened to the old community that didn't immediately go toxic about everything. Yes, the community, not the staff.

There's a lip side to that coin lnquistor, let me ask you a question. I as a small company owner respect and appreciate all comments from my customers, so please tell me why the "staff" can be so toxic and negative and not expect to be questioned/ held accountable?

Was the rules this tight on the old forums? I have to say this as a newcomer to these forums: its pretty hard to post anything in here after i read all those rules and see all these threads get deleted and people getting banned for some very minor reasons. Sure there was some posts that break these rules, but does that mean the whole thread has to get deleted? What if i make a joke what some mod doesn't like in the othg thread, will the whole thread get deleted?

While that might be true, much stuff happening on the staff side and stuff that has happened obviously didn't help creating a positive vibe here.
We talked about this many times, I just felt the need to say that both sides did stuff which resulted in what we have now.
Not trying to get in deeper, you know why.

People need to use the off-topic forum more for those random questions/topics, cause I've seen a lot of those here lately.

Totally agree, the topic of the day often is "I hate the game/person/community/forums" repeated over and over with very few actual feedback in the right form and right places (bug reports/suggestions without derailing into insults).

Being critical is totally okay, negative feedback is okay too, make an angryjoe style angry review video if you wish, instead it turns into flame/troll/insult most of the time.

this is old . be nice .give feedback . you not noticed people are fed up with banging there head against walls. there entitled to flame just like you are to come and defend and sugar coat the game . put your tongue back in

As far as I can see, there are 3 main reasons as to why Redlynx have lost nearly all credibility from a major part of the community

1) Unannounced forum switch
2) No Multiplayer in Fusion at launch and not for the next few months, is it even here yet?
3) FMX affecting bike physics after it was CLEARLY stated and confirmed before the release of the game that FMX would in no way affect speedrunning in any way.

From there on it's just been a giganticsnowball effect. As far as I know, Redlynx have done not nearly enough to make up for the lost credibility as a result of the abovementioned.

I could write an essay on this but this mainly covers it.
