Hi all, members and devs alike
My gamer tag is oblivion, I am a 40 something gamer that's been playing the xbox since it was first released, many years ago.
Although none of you will know me I have been an avid reader of the forums for some time, I guess a few weeks before the release of fusion.
A little about me, I got into the franchise with trials evo maybe 16 months before Fusion was released, found myself addicted to the game and as I remember I grinded away at the single player, not very well too start I must admit. But stuck with it and found my faults and times tumbling down, unfortunately at the time I was a massive cod fan and with only having a 4 gb xbox and also very much into forza something had to give when black ops 2 was released unfortunately
. It was trials that gave!
Fast forward xbox one and the release of trails fusion, I am buzzing new console, massive amounts of memory im getting fusion for sure, day comes and I download fusion, yes this is it I spend the next few months fixated, grinding away pulling my times down and also my faults, I am in love with the game!
Wait.....what !! I come on the forums and there's unrest every single thread I see is knocking fusion! This cant be true it's trials its what everyone has been waiting for
. The weeks go by, turn into months suggestions, ideas but the thread counts drop, the posts become none exsistant!
I ignore the forums, there wrong just moaning, complaining because its not evo, it's fusion sod them let them moan im having the time of my life. The weeks pass I get into track central, yeah plenty of tracks here, keep me going for months and months, this is what its all about, a game with plenty of miles in it
Things start too slow down, where's all theses tracks on track central Pure evil, core2tom,dragonmickey, attila999 kid mpc the list goes on and on! the game starts to get stale, dlc is now the only thing that keeps me going. No sorry there is the cross platform picks, thank god for them it just about keeps my interest, after all were looking at another year at least before the next instalment comes out!
Im getting bored this isn't how I remember trials evo, week before Christmas im bored stiff, I know I will go buy a second hand 360 from game, ive already got evo and a dlc I can download them for free. Job done 360 is plugged in, wired up down load evo yeah minutes are ticking by that its the game I remember, straight into the action quality tracks galore heaven once more!!!
Now if your all still reading at this point I would like to thank each and everyone of you, im no writer by any means I make a living doing a manual job but I felt the need to come on here and try and make a post that makes sense from a normal gaming guys view, I know funk gets a slating for his big walls of text, and I have tired my best too make this readable.......My point please read on........
I came too fusion with great anticipation this was going to be the game that kept my attention, it did just not for as long as I imagined! After downloading evo once more and spending 6 days playing it I now understand why fusion failed. It failed because Redlinx failed, they didn't listen to the hardcore fans, they let the hardcore down and in turn the hardcore left trials. it was these guys the wizards that created some truly awe inspiring tracks on track central that gave evo it's life span. Trials by its own right was a working art, give the guys the tools and let then create, and they did by there masses! It gave evo the ;life it had, but you turned on the hardcore in favour of the masses. That I do think was a major error, the hardcore leave one by one track central is now just a pile of junk, that is where you went wrong!
This is my fist ever post I know it will be vetted, but I do hope it will be displayed on the board as after all I am a customer, and just giving my opinion!
To the hardcore, I am sorry for thinking you a community of moaning girls, but I also thank you for getting me back into trials evolution, think I have at least 30 day time on track central.......peace out
Hi shakey anyone that still plays evo please feel free to add me as my list is empty on there, and I could do with some track central competition gamer tag is lx oblivian xlOriginally Posted by shakeyclaret Go to original post

Good post dude was an interesting read and i personely think that i get grief for my posts not because of how long they are but because of the grammer , which must be a hard thing to do to get through some off my walls of text lol. Im the same dude , put a shovle in my hand or a jcb in front of me and i would beat the pants off the best.
I never played evo , i myself self am in your shoes when you first started playing evo , i also am a fav of the call of duty black ops franchise's it goes way back to the medal of honour on the first epic game where they stormed the beaches of mornady , could have been ps2 ( the game goes back way prvious but that around the time i got into it. Until they brought out ghost which i found an absolute let down and threw it at the wall. Not a big fan of advanced war fighter for the ps4 either at the moment , not keen on the future look lol or maps.
For me your whole posts sums up a good summary of what people are missing here and thats the opertunity to play both games , have the slow times be filled by the other and so forth. Too many people are trying to compete them and say one is better then the other. When really they are too completly different games with different styles including building tracks. I am sure while it is quite in fusion at the moment you will still return now and then to see if its picked up and quite confident in saying that you will play both. People have to remember these are the next gen consoles and expect next gen gaming most . Now fusion is not exactly next gen nor is evo so it wont have the masses following fusion becuase people simply want quality graphics although from what i have had out of this game i have more fun for my money so to speak. There is also a vast majority that do not own the next gen consoles , or have only just got them for crimbo and so forth hence why fusion could also be lacking in gamers as well , on the other hand everyone has a ps3 or a 360 laying around. Evo on the other hand still has its devoted 360 fans and will also have gained from the fallout of this like your self buying a 360 which is abit soft lol to fork out for a consoles just for one game. We too old to be taking it that serious haha
good post bud and as you are a gamer of my own age ishwe seem to share a far amount the same game themes , i know i would like evo also but i soend toomuch time debating to my self if i play this too much and up till wee hours in the morning when have to be up at the crack of dawn answers that , i dont think i could possibly fit another game in and juggle them. Oh and dont forget assasins creed. I thought i was the only one who worked to the bone in mud and cement and then come home and played kids games. Whoooo im not the only man who does this
One tip though bud , xbox is pants![]()
Welcome to the forum, Oblivian.
Evo, and HD before that; are arguably my favourite games of all time. Fusion, whilst not maintaining those high standards, is still a good game in it's own right. I could live without FMX and the Panda, and the TC menu is still a little cumbersome, but there's enough in the game for me to enjoy, certainly next gen.
If you decide to go back to Fusion and the Bone, you could add me if you like. GT:- Rudemod 69.
Funk, your tip is flawed. You'll find a big percentage of the community, and the established builders, still reside on Xbox.![]()
The track community is split between 4 platforms, and many people stopped building as well (quit or went evo).
Uplay Cross platform helps some, I like it very much! , but still there's very fewer new tracks coming out compared to launch.
Fewer people can't keep up with demand and keep the high quality, tracks take time to build after all.
And more people (non-builders) might leave cause they get bored cause "no new tracks to play". It's a vicious cycle the community has to keep itself intact.
Builders need players to download/rate their tracks, players need builders to build the tracks.
For every builder that leaves, more players might follow sadly.
Myself included I haven't made a whole lot of tracks, but they are often higher quality then compared when I started building on Evo Gold.
I never had Evo Xbox, I still prefer Fusion over Evo Gold (while I see some in my Friends list went back to Evo Gold).
I like track competitions but I don't see many new builders come from it sadly (could be cause majority of players don't use forum?).
Even on the PC beta side of things, I really wish there were more entries for the building competition but it shows people seem less interested in building now.
I'm sticking out on this game tho, still looking forward for the remaining DLC as well, right now this is still one of my most played games (most time in editor tho).
I'm still building, and planning to make more videos about PC TC tracks soon.
