I followed my own advice and had no issues with any of the unlocks. Its worth a shot at least, and it would make sense if game resets some internal variables when you restart or desync.

Sure, it won't hurt But you can believe me it is not connected to that as I collected in the first run 3 sets of artifacts with a lot of mission restarting to get the different artifacts per rift and they all worked. The next time I did it with two sets one was working, the other wasn't.
And when I collected the set for Altair's outfit I did it "your way" as there was no more different artifacts to collect: 2 times didn't worked, third try was finally working.

How do you know that you collected all artifacts for particular rift mission?

sometimes i play the rift and see an already collected artifact, i reload it again and surprisingly no artifacts to be collected (yes im sure and searched everywhere), so i exit the game and launch it back then start the same rift and artifacts starts to spawn again, collect it and replay, same issue not artifacts spawning or already collected ones are spawning, so is this normal?

Because they're tracked. If you pick it up, it gets counted in your Progress Tracker. That's how.

no thats not what i meant, According to this thread:

    Belle Époque
Data Harvest: 1 Initiate and 3 Companion app artifacts
Tornado: 1 Initiate and 3 Companion app artifacts

i have 7/8 artifacts collected, i didnt track how many artifacts i collected in each mission, progress tracker only shows the whole set and doesnt specify which mission, so now is there a way to know in which mission i can find the last artifact?

in addition to this, as i said i launched both missions and no new artifacts spawned, either an already collected one or none, so is it meant to be this way?

An artifact should be appearing each time you play the Rift mission - either one that is locked and can't be collected until the appropriate Companion App mission is completed, one that is unlocked and can be collected or one that has already been collected. I know I played each of the Rift missions multiple times and there was an artifact generated each time (usually one I had already collected annoyingly). Seemingly basic question, but are you sure you're looking in the right places for the artifacts in each Mission?

I have all companion missions completed, so all should be unlocked, yes im looking thoroughly with eagle vision enabled to make it easier as well, also the map is too small, so i could spot it from a mile, have everything else 100% completed except those at 73%, but it doesnt spawn, as an example, i started to play Tornado, as you said one of the collected artifacts appeared at first, so i exited through the portal and restarted the mission, then no artifacts are spawning, so i quit the game and decided not to collect them, next day i decided to try again, so i started that mission again, and 5 artifacts spawned one at a time with each mission restart, then after last restart a collected one appeared, so i restarted again and no artifacts are spawning.

your comment made me realize that it has to be a bug somewhere, if i hit a mission with an already collected one, then no matter how many times i restart it, no artifacts will spawn even if i select next rift after exiting through the portal, that explains it all, so i guess the only way is to restart the game, what an annoying bug to be honest without mentioning the other annoying bug for an already collected one to appear.

I can only speak from my experience:
It can (very seldom) happen in the first "run when you start a Rift mission that there is indeed no artifact.
But when I restart the mission from the menu there is always one artifact to be found (either a collected one or a missing one).

As mentioned they appear randomly, and I was once sitting there for 40 minutes and countless restarts until it finally loaded the rift mission with the last missing artifact. In total all the artifacts will show in the rift missions, there is no bug preventing one of them not to appear. But it can take time ... even when you know exactly which place to look for. I wouldn't want to do this without an idea where the artifacts would appear. Also I had a list which artifacts I already collected, so once only one was missing I was directly running to that position, and if not there, restart and run there again, restart and run there again, restart and run there again, ...

Whoever had the idea of randomly appearing things you need to collect without showing them on a map should be fired ...

Thanks, Thats confirming the bug, unfortunately i didnt track artifacts vs missions , so i'm in a position where i have to keep reloading the same mission until it spawns, if it didnt then i figure that im in the wrong one since there is no way to know in which mission its located as there is no mission to artifact tracking, only complete set for the whole rift missions.

    Oh, now I get you.

But it's not a bug. The thing is working as intended - which absolute crap. That's why I said, whoever had that idea must not work on video games anymore. It's like you have to search for the keyhole in a car because it appears on random positions anytime you open the door

So indeed you can't see which artifact in which Rift mission is missing. If you haven't keep track of each artifact you collected and noted every place where you collected it, it'll be hard to get it.

However you can still start with such a list now. Look at the thread here for the two Belle Epoche maps (map1 and map2). Then make a list of these 8 locations. Go to the 4 locations per mission and note which artifact you have collected. If you got all 4 of one Rift, the missing artifact is in the other one. It will appear, you just have to waste a lot of time ...
