I got the exact same problem with the exact same game. This is incredibly frustrating. Apparently it's been going on for quite a while and happened to many people as I can see. This is extremely poor user experience. I can't believe Ubisoft can't fix this. It's not like a verification code for games is a new thing. It's been there for ages. I've never had such problem before... What's wrong?
Hi, welcome to the forums!
If you have issues with codes - support can help - but they will need the product code and proof of purchase.
Sometimes errors happen and i know it can be frustrating for you, but they will get the game working for you - if you work with them.

It's called a crappy game client issue IMO. Have had Far Cry 4 since launch and played thru it multiple times and have a couple of DLCs. Haven't played for a while - so went back in only to find the "activation Code in Use". Even copy-pasted my key from the settings drop down in Uplay and still doesn't work.
So I fixed it by uninstalling the game. Good job Ubisoft - appreciate it - though the issues with Uplay doesn't really surprise me anymore...
G'day Team,
I've got a super simple fix, after about 5 hours of screwing around with various things, I deleted two files from my steamapps\common\Tom Clancy's The Division.
uplay_install.manifest
uplay_install.state
After deleting those two, ran the game normally and the Uplay Product Key/Activation Code splash screen no longer appeared and the game began normally.
Hope this helps someone.
Regards,
Puxty
I've been waiting a week for support to assist me with this issue only to have a generic message sent out to me asking for more information. From what I've been reading this issue is something that happens frequently with the Uplay client therefor I'm not sure why support needed more information before even attempting to help me.Originally Posted by Puxty Go to original post
So thank you.
Your three lines of text was more than what support has done for me in a week.
