    This CD key or Activation code is already active on this account.

    I received FC4 as a gift for christmas. After the 1 hour install I was prompted for the CD-key which I entered and received the "this key is invalid" message. After entering it exactly the same way 20 more times and getting locked out of UcantPlay a few times in the process it finally accepted the key.

    The game did not launch or appear in my games library. When I try to launch FC4 from the system folder it will prompt me for the cd-key again and when entered it will display the message "This CD key or activation code is already active on this account, Please visit your games library to access your games". After launching once from the system folder FC4 will appear in the games library but trying to launch from the library will give exactly the same error.

    I also had this problem but no one has replied to my ticket (01931745) even with a picture of proof of purchase and serial? its not fair that my brother bought this for me and I cant play it and being igored.
    Please sort it! all you are doing is loosing customers, we have paid to play your game so please look into it!

    He said it was a gift..How can he provide proof of purchase for that?

    I had quite the same problem.

    Wanted to activate the game I received for christmas (Far cry 4) with the CD key and then download it. Told me that the game was in my librabry ... never saw it and it was impossible to download the game (it's pretty easy to do that on any other platform like battle.net or steam though...).
    I then installed it directly with the game CDs. The game appears in my library but when I'm trying to enter the activation key, I'm getting : this cd key or activation code is already active on this account. please visit your games library to access your game.
    So, I got the game, got the key but can't play.

    Uplay is definitely one of the most unfriendly antiquity game platform ever.

    I am in the same boat. I purchased FC3 and also Blood Dragon - exact same situatoin. I put a support request in on the 3rd of March yet have not received a response yet. This is fantastic, since I've had the game unplayed now for weeks... what a load of ****.

    Can someone at Ubisoft follow this up today for me please? the reference is 02081088

    Are you actually getting logged into the Uplay client or is it failing log in. If it is just failing to log in then try disconnecting from your internet before launching Uplay to force the Uplay client to launch in offline mode. Once you do that your game should be there ready to play. Well at least the single player parts will be. I have had this same issue several times when Uplay was having server issues. This has been the only work around I have found when this happens. When the Uplay client's servers are working properly again a normal online launch of Uplay will finally let you play normally again. Let me know if that works for you.

    Same activation problem "Launch from library... blah... blah... blah"

    What to do? Buy a different game? No. I like Far Cry, please let me play it. EB Games said FC4 is a great game, alas, I can only take their word for it.
