I reached 2 level with a star (lost 2 stars in last 2 showdowns) and that's it for me for the time being. I have no further and great skill to compete better and best riders. I hope I can improve by racing ghosts on tracks that are hard for me. Not asking favors, just venting out after few days of nervous showdowns

Get a bunch of friends. STOCKPILE tickets. I am winning races because I have more chances. Might not be the better rider or have the better bike, but I get more turns.

Also, if you come across a legend's name you recognize, ask to ping pong. Set the first run at 30+ faults, see what happens.

Between grit and some luck, you will get there. LOTS of time left.

Sure, there is time and I do try ponging with everyone, not to mention I always start with 20 faults and lousy time on all tracks and showdowns. Thing is, not everyone is ready to ping pong, nor they get the concept. Some great skill riders set impossible times (for me) on the first run and then collect lousy ~500 coins in 24 hours as I can't beat them on hard and very technical tracks.

I have 4 legends as friends, but no luck meeting them in a showdown... that's my luck Yaiks!

Still, as you said - there is still plenty of time to get to rank number 1.
