but isnt one exploiting the system by making it so they are playing the weakest of competition to get there? i probably beat more legends and high ranked players to get into legends then most did.

That type of exploitation was overlooked by the developers. Arranging who wins a match is an exploit that cannot be controlled. Totally different things.

Is it cheating if someone ping-pongs knowing they are definitely going to win the showdown, and are exploiting the other player with no desire to help them?
Maybe the hackers don't think they're cheating either.

If both parties aren't actively trying to beat each other, than yes, that is cheating.

But the better rider has no intention of letting the lesser rider win, ever. He uses the lesser rider to boost the chips and winnings for himself.

    Is this cheating?
It's not cheating as long as they compete at some point in the race.

For the record, if there's no mutual agreement on ping-ponging, you should assume they will try to get the pot in the end.

If I confront a player which has much more higher upgraded bikes and takes tracks back instantly, when I'm trying to to pingpong more chips to both.
I let him/her have it and I quit pingponging... because I don't gain anything.
Maybe I'll try to steal the pot at last minute or so... maybe not.

To the OP: I can pingpong as much you want, I'm currently here for the chips.
