Hello,
I would like to ask you what should I do in this case when APM Music still claims that the song is theirs and I can't use it (After disputing with them)?
- I have music in game turned [OFF] since the beginning.
- It happened when I was doing Kyrat Fashion Week and I was speaking with Mr. Chiffon.
Now claim looks like:
"Franck Sarkissian, Yannick Kalfayan-Elevator Music", sound recording administered by:
APM Music Dispute rejected; claim has been reinstated.
AdRev for a 3rd Party Claim released.
I have now three options - Remove the song - or say that - OK, I got it - or the third one - file an appeal.
Thank you in advance

We're not talking about whether it can be posted or not, we're talking about how when you do it's often caught by their filters even when it shouldn't be.Originally Posted by dreddin Go to original post
Same here. I was caught them either. I try to write a formal objection, but they reject it. that's ridiculous.Originally Posted by ZeffZane Go to original post
Ubisoft should have did what Volition did with Saint's Row. They knew people would be recording in game sessions and posting them all over the internet, so Volition had an "In-Game" recorder that would capture what you were doing,(very similar to FRAPS/Bandicam etc..) with sound, but automatically disable the music due to scumbag lawyers and "artists" making a big deal out of nothing, when all anyone wanted to do was just show their friend/internet something cool that they did while playing the game.Originally Posted by ZeffZane Go to original post
Remember....It's always about money. If there's one thing we learned from Ubisoft, it's that. (Watch_Dogs, AC:U)
If you think the video game industry is bad, you should see the music industry. The music industry's obsession with money/legalities makes the video game industry look like a "Nickel & Dime" scheme.
Hmm, so basically my only options would be in this case to "remove a song" which would as well remove Mr. Chiffons speech OR click on "Ok, I get that" and let them make money from my vids. I don't mind this one - I'm not that big and even if I would I wouldn't care that much... But them, it's just pissing me off that on Ubisoft is that we can use everything and monetize it and suddenly "poof" and nope, you were wrong. This is OURS!
It's sad that videorights@ubisoft.com doesn't respond that oftenI asked them twice about copyright claim and they haven't responded...
