Hi all!
I got a strange problem: I recently changed my gfx card from a 560Ti to a MSI GTX970 card. When I start Far Cry 4 I can look at the logo for about 1 second before my pc switches off completely. (no shutdown, a switch off)
I noticed that lowering the Nvidia Experience recommended settings do not solve this issue. However, using maximum quality settings seem to solve the problem.
I changed bios of the card to the latest versions via MSI live update, and updated drivers via de Nvidia experience tool.
Furthermore, 3Dmark does run all the tests without a problem and Battlefield 4 is running on ultra settings.
My conclusion is, it is not the power supply since FC4 is running at max settings? But what could be wrong here?
Please advise?
Regards,
LM.
Hi limamike!
Please create a support ticket HERE, ensuring to provide as much information about your issue as possible. Additionally, please also provide your DxDiag and MSINFO of your system as this will help our support team investigate this for you, thanks.
It seems it was my powersupply after all. Intresting is some games and benchmarks run fine, others don't: With the 3dmark demo on Steam, I was able to run SkyDiver and Fire Strike, but Ice Storm and Cloud Gate reboot the system even before the intro video finishes.
