I just turned off my game because I am really disappointed with the game right now. I will not give up on it because I really love the general experience.
That said however, I am so sick of open world video games that CONSTANTLY has to offer a super aggressive fauna. I tried to fight in my own personal favorite manner which is sneaking and shooting with my bow. Alas, that's impossible to do if I simultaneously get attacked by a honey badger and an eagle. These brilliant creators continue to provide the most breathtakingly beautiful worlds and yet makes it virtually impossible to truly enjoy.
So here's my solution. Make the animals realistic. Real animals rarely attack humans. Make them hard to find. I want a beautiful world that I can actually enjoy.
How many here agrees with me?
Agree on Eagles, in fact most do. I've proposed in other threads discussing it that they put Eagle nests in the game at high out of reach places where you normally find them. They could have babies chirping in them so you know when you're near one, and only if you're fairly close to one will Eagles get hostile, but mostly just swoop near you like crows do. There's cases of Eagles having attacked small animals and even little kids, but it's fairly rare.
I also think instead of having Eagles trying to cart off pigs and such, they should have them grabbing rodents or the smaller birds, which is more the norm for them.
The rest I can tolerate, even though it gets a bit repetitive and sometimes frustrating. For the most part I have my ways of avoiding or dealing with it.
If you want to explore or travel more safely or with less distraction though, elephants or the buzzer are a good alternative to going afoot. You won't even get bothered by Eagles that way.
