Did Patch 1.6 really fix the memory leak?

    Hi,

The memory leak issue was introuduced in 1.5 patch.
I havent bought the game yet.
So for those of you bought the legal version of the game instead of the cracked one(cracked games may suffer more performance issues),
after your game is patched with 1.6, did the memory leak problem go away?

PS: momory leak issue is after you play the game for about 3 hours, the game starts to stutter very frequently.
I actually sometimes have this problem with Watch dogs too so does anyone (who bought the legal game) experence the same as well?

    Thank you

Was fixed as far as I could tell. Before 1.6 after about an hour-ish usually I would be at 8gb total system mem used and I had let it get as high a 11gb before. After 1.6 total system mem used rarely goes above 6gb and even when it does it settles down below that pretty quickly. Even after HOURS of playing. I think I played for a total of 7 hours straight the day the 1.6 patch rolled out.

I made it about an hour and the low memory notification appeared so I came here to see if anythings up on this issue. First time this happened. I have 8G of ram and am about 53% through the game. I'll try it again in the morning.

Yes, you can verify it with Task Manager while the game is minimized. Mine stays under 4GB now.

The hotfix that came shortly after also fixed the Karma 8 save bug.

Memory management is still far from ideal, but yes, they improved the situation a lot:

With previous patch I could get more than 13GB much faster. Bottom line, the game didn’t crush (yesterday it would crush almost for certain in the same conditions).
From my feedback on patch 1.6.0.

For a game of this graphics level, staying under 4 GB is very good actually.

Have you seen what Wolfenstein uses? And that game doesn't have near the graphics.
