There is only one instance of M and no instance of T in the visible puzzle, so yes, I should have said M = T. Sorry about that. Fixed for my recapOriginally Posted by AzorAhai04 Go to original post![]()

I wrote some code in java to return 7-word 4-word phrases of the form ???R??? ?ORT with no repeating letters (aside from the R) and this is what I got back
it's based on a text file "dictionary" that doesn't include plural or gerund forms so it's possible that the answer isn't in this listCode:aldrich fort aldrich mort aldrich port aldrich sort andrews fort andrews mort andrews port ascribe fort ascribe mort ascribe port bahrein fort bahrein mort bahrein port bahrein sort bearish fort bearish mort bearish port charles fort charles mort charles port charley fort charley mort charley port charley sort charlie fort charlie mort charlie port charlie sort clarify mort clarify port clarify sort cyprian fort cyprian mort cyprian sort diurnal fort diurnal mort diurnal port diurnal sort dwarves fort dwarves mort dwarves port ephraim fort ephraim sort gabriel fort gabriel mort gabriel port gabriel sort gherkin fort gherkin mort gherkin port gherkin sort hebraic fort hebraic mort hebraic port hebraic sort lipread fort lipread mort lipread sort maurice fort maurice port maurice sort maurine fort maurine port maurine sort mcbride fort mcbride port mcbride sort scarify mort scarify port sharpen fort sharpen mort sherman fort sherman port sherwin fort sherwin mort sherwin port shirley fort shirley mort shirley port sparkle fort sparkle mort umbrage fort umbrage port umbrage sort upbraid fort upbraid mort upbraid sort upbring fort upbring mort upbring sort upgrade fort upgrade mort upgrade sort wharves fort wharves mort wharves port
on the other hand, sparkle fort.
This information, true or false, will not help you solve the puzzle.Originally Posted by ghmorello Go to original post

This web page allows you to do the same. http://quipqiup.com/index.php change to cryptogram mode, and enter Y=O B=R M=T in the clues. Not a lot of four letter words ending in ORT. FORT, WORT, PORT, SORT, MORT, BORTOriginally Posted by PlainclothesMan Go to original post
I am feeling like BORT, so I am hitting the WORT.
It's very possibleOriginally Posted by PlainclothesMan Go to original post
Um...let it go.on the other hand, sparkle fort.

Well, see, I know you have access to the internet anagram server. And you figured out Heegan even though Heegan is not a normal English word that would come up in the internet anagram server. So...yeah.
I also know it's tricky since it's a short phrase and there are so few repeating letters this time around, so does E = C = G help?
