The weapon unlocks + attachments + increased damage & range are available on JRs site as a package; as well as included in his FC 4 medium and hard core mods.

FYI: All the games difficulty levels do is adjust your weapons damage vs enemies. Normal difficulty is 1:1.

Be sure to read the description for JR's increased range/damage thoroughly to see if it will float your boat (friendly & enemy NPCs get the same R & D you do). The mod will definitely require an adjustment in game play style as it is unforgiving; especially if you favor the Rambo thing; the increased R & D will force a more tactical approach.

JR's pretty busy working on several evolving mods; feel free to ask him & vinh1998 for permission for me to give you a copy of my Frankenstein (all credit remains due to them though!). Or, if JR would like to host it on his site; to keep things in house; I'll give it to him to post for anyone to DL. They're aware of my "tinkering".

You absolutely have my permission to share it with folks who want it/ can use it. I've been so busy between IRL and modding that's it;s been virtually impossible to create every permutation people have requested

As pointed out Ubi has made it unnecessarily difficult to mod this engine. I have previously requested from them considering at the very least just a simple addition to the load order to look for patch00.dat to patch99.dat (hell why stop there really, but that would be the easiest/laziest method) and load them in numerical order. Something like that would at the very least allow us as modders to break the mods up into individual bits which users could pick and choose while keeping us out of Ubi's official patch files. Simple to implement. Simple to install / remove. Can easily be made robust by adding larger pool of numbers or string support (i.e. patch_remove_wallhack.dat, patch_increased_costs.dat etc)

Would be nicer to have an actual mods folder and/or mod loader built into the launch menu, but it needn't be that complex if they lack the manpower and resources to dedicate to mod support.

Pretty much though it's fallen on deaf ears.

I think the company official stance is just to turn a blind eye to modding then they don't have to offer support caused by potential conflicts/bugs introduced by mods and don't have to address the obvious cheating that occurs in MP and leaderboards by altering the game. Shrug. As long as they don't lock us modders out completely we'll keep trying to breath more life into the franchise.

    Thanks JV!

Vinh1998.......................what say ye? If you're OK with this too....................I'll give LZ (anyone who's interested really) a link to my drop box for an .rar (with read me + proper credits and installation instructions) copy of my Frankenstein.

Note to all: The increased weapons damage & range portion of JRavens work was developed in cooperation with "bontainer"; who did a ton of research and number crunching to come up with an excellent real world based weapons stat spreadsheet and statistical database to base the damage modeling on (within the FC 4 engine's weapons modeling limitations). It is realistic in that weapons with **** ant cartridges and short barrels are weak, weapons with bigger cartridges and longer barrels are more powerful, and weapons with honkin' big cartridges and long barrels are FEARSOME . Nothing is "balanced for game play"; as are many of the vanilla weapons. If that's not your style (and that's fine if it isn't!) you've been warned! Be sure to read the JR's description of the increased weapons damage and range at: http://jravens.wix.com/farcrymods#!f...ents-mod/c1gzo

I see you've been messing around a lot as well, my man
I was really disappointed when I first saw that everything was way more complicated than in Far Cry 3.
Hopefully we can make something good out of it as time goes by. As I see it, you've concentrated more on the player, while I've concentrated mainly on the NPCs. We both had our difficulties, but we'll just have to deal with that. Let's just try our bests, eh? #alwayslookonthebrightsideoflife

By the way, guys, have you seen the 11 possible settings for the next Far Cry?

Ubisoft asked Far Cry 4 players to select their 3 most prefered settings from the following:

    - A Far Cry game in remote Alaska about surviving extreme wilderness
    - A Far Cry game in a futuristic, sci-fi setting on another planet
    - A Far Cry game set in the Vietnam war during the 1960s
    - A Far Cry game set in the cocaine trafficking jungles of Peru
    - A Far Cry game where you can fight against or join vampires
    - A Far Cry game in the Spaghetti Western style set in the 19th century Americas
    - A Far Cry game that is set during a zombie outbreak
    - Blood Dragon 2: A sequel to Blood Dragon
    - A Far Cry game set in a Mad Max-style post-apocalyptic world
    - A Far Cry game in the present day on a Jurassic Park style island of dinosaurs
    - A Far Cry game based on the world of Shangri-La from Far Cry 4

    What do you guys think?

As long as that's a spin-off like Blood Dragon, I'm all for something completely different. Use the fantastic gameplay and build something completely different on top. Shangri-La is to me like Xen was in Half-Life. Totally different world, different laws of physics and a change of pace. It was awesome.

Far Cry 5 itself should be more of the semi-realistic stuff, IMO. Present time real world (with the expected acid trips of course). It has always managed to stay outside of the generic shooter area and the military stuff. I don't wanna be a trained soldier on a mission, I wanna gradually become one.

Personally I demand Blood Dragon 2. It's just too good and too funny to not have a sequel. I can't explain how much I love that stupid game.

This is the most likely candidate for Far Cry 5 I think, and the rest, save for maybe the Alaskan one, are very doubtful and either don't fit the Far Cry theme or are not an individual story, which is what they've done each installment, and rightfully so. It's how the series is kept fresh. A lot of people have complained about little nuances being too similar from 3 to 4. If they don't significantly change the settings and stories, there'd be an avalanche of complaints.
