    Animal Repellent

I remember in 3 that there was a "Animal Repellent" shot. But if I'm not mistaken, 4 does not have such a Repellent. Correct??

The Buzzsaw is very powerful. I made sure I unlocked it as soon as possible this time since I'm playing on Hard now. After a while I got kinda tired of it's loud arse sound attracting attention, and the fact that it's so overpowered. So I swapped it back for my Shredder.

The thing will literally drop a Rhino in one micro burst hip shot. You get 500 rounds if your ammo bag is maxed. Apply sparingly.

The best that syringes can do now is Hunting Syringe LV2 (I think that's what it's called) which makes you virtually silent and animals won't attack or flee from you if not provoked. I haven't tested what "not provoked" means when it comes to leopards, bears and rhinoceros....but I did find hunting timid animals like Bharal was much easier.

Leopards, tigers, dogs, wolves, and bears (on hard difficulty at least) could care less if you are using LV2 ... use the enhanced syringe to tag and track them for longer periods, and continue to give them a wide berth when out there attempting to do something else in the game.

Yep, that's what I have been doing to locate animals and the enemy. But I have yet to unlock the 4th med slot.

You mean they could not care less.

Since the recent patches, I don't seem to be attacked as much as I used to be by any of the animals.
Been days since I had an eagle attack which used to happen with annoying regularity. Beginning to miss the old bird

Watching my friend try to take a post silently was a treat yesterday, both times he had his camera out tagging baddies and both times a pack of wolves decided they also wanted to play tag on his a$$. by the time he got his weapon out he had been mauled to death

I remember hating this part on FC3 but it was sporadic at best, it seems to be the norm here on FC4... let me not even get into that ball buster eagle, I see that happening every 4 seconds

If and when I do get the game (waiting for that bargain bin price or used) I have the feeling I will do the exploration for bigger wallets and such and then get the buzzer and move around quicker to avoid the pesky animals and get some killing done... so far, my friend has explore every inch of this place and perhaps wasted 90% of his bullets in animals... that is all good and dandy but I want more of a shooter game than an exploration one.
