Is this the hyperbolic reaction of a Heavy Gunner with pyrophobia... or a simple glitch in the personality settings of an NPC?
(I know which one I'm rooting for...)
Has anyone else seen this kind of extreme behaviour from any other NPCs?
Edit: Why is the forum post container not wide enough for an embedded video?
I haven't seen that but last evening I did come across the reverse, a pyromaniac heavy. During the taking of the bridge mission when the reinforcements come on there were suddenly fires everywhere, except anywhere near where I actually was, and I couldn't work out why. Then I realised there was a heavy with a flamethrower who was waddling around burning anything and everything complete with all the usual heavy dialogue. The fellow had clearly gone mad so I put him down, eventually.
Only time I've seen them act that scared of fire is when it's close enough to actually catch them on fire, or if the lower rank troops with more flammable clothing are in a field of grass with fire rapidly spreading toward them.
Even then though it's not a strange panicked gargly sound like that. It's either screaming and flailing while on fire, or a shout of warning.
This is just weird. I get the feeling some got the Monty Python version of the game.
