I don't know if it's still time to change some important game mechanics, but considering how game-breaking some things can be, I think it would be important for the developers to evaluate them.
1. Money is extremely easy to get and because the cost of items in the game is so low, we can pretty much buy every weapon and map far before we should. I would ask that all items had their cost increased by 10x and Towers shouldn't give weapons.
10x is not much: in my current game, I've just completed the 2nd Campaign Mission but I already own all the maps, all available weapons and respective attachments and I keep struggling to spend money because the wallet is always full. I don't towers or Longinus to get the weapons. Prices 10x higher would force the player to make hard decisions about what weaponry to buy and what to wait for capture. I suppose changing the costs would be easier than changing the game to reduce money income.
2. Animals shouldn't be so hard to kill, but they should only produce skins if killed by arrows. This would reduce the amount of money earned by poaching or by finding dead animals.
3. It's unrealistic to use sherpa's as mobile bases where you have access to your base weaponry. Sherpa's should only allow for buying player's stuff and selling leafs. Also, they should have a limit of money and a limit of space, just like the player has, but much lower. This is another way to reduce the amount of income by the player.
I'm sure more adjustments could be made, but these would be really nice. It's unfortunate that the consoles won't profit from the modding community to change these things, so we're relying on the developers to do it.
Agreed, there's too much money and it's too easy to get.
You can avoid upgrading your loot bag so high to limit how many valuables you can loot.
I remember in Far Cry 3 it was so bad that it was actually hard to access all the loot chests because your wallet kept maxing out.
Someone ought to mod in a hospital base and make it so every time you go down, a large sum of money is taken for healing expenses. Maybe 100,000 or something.
I'm aware of that but my FC4 is for PS4 so I guess that l'm out of luck...Originally Posted by lespaul678 Go to original post
What's the point of a gun if you can't own it?
Besides, the price thing is utterly moot when you can just grab the weapons off fallen enemies. It could be a million rupees per pistol and I'd still get it free off Corporal Aziz down the road.
I do agree about the animals being stupid tough. No honey badger on the planet can take that many assault rifle rounds and keep coming at you.
Agreed, plus I don't have this "too much money" problem people talk about. I'm constantly out... I can easily spend $300k buying and outfitting a single new gun, getting body armor, refilling ammo, etc.Originally Posted by trapezius1 Go to original post
The game is as exciting as you make it. I run around with the uPlay Judge Dredd pistol, silenced, most of the time. I like taking my time with Outposts and even sitting on a Fortress wall for 10 minutes before moving. Sometimes I'll put mines on a Jeep & go hunting for Civis', and I've only used the elephant in missions where it forces you to. Lots of money when you loot everything but just running around setting things (and people) on fire ...burns the ammo pretty good
When I get a new gun, I like my mods and make the ideal choice for decals![]()
