I have and Xbox360 Slim 4GB, 64GB external USB and a 32GB USB.
The slim only has 2.5GB avaialble so am trying to install Farcry4 onto 1 of the USB's and play from there but keep getting the 'disc unreadable error'.
What should I be installing where and what should I be moving to what?
Everytime I move all Farcry4 files to a USB the system downloads an update again (im guessing to the slim)
I have an xbox 360 (20gb) and playing from a usb. I installed all content (the required install, the game disk, and patch directly to the usb. I had no issues with my first playthrough, save a few graphical glitches. Due to the patch my second playthrough is way buggier than my first...frustratingly so. The disk reading error may be your disk or the xbox 360.
It's either a scratched disc, or the laser on your 360 is wearing out,Originally Posted by UKPhoenix Go to original post
I've had this issue before with games, including this one.
The way i'm getting around it is resetting the laser in the dvd drive by closing the tray with no disc inside.
I know you have low memory on your drive like myself, try deleting other stuff on your hard drive and install the full game onto it.
I'm still having lots of problems with the game, even when the disc is installed onto the hard drive it's giving disc readable error.
When it's not installed the game and console just freezes.
Hey UKPhoenix, I take it back. It's not your xbox. I was moving around my save games from my usb to my hdd ( I wanted to start a new save from scratch because I have been having issues with Pagans Wrath not showing up, FYI they do after starting a new save,) My game said disc unreadable. I have everything installed to the USB, and you should be able to install directly to the usb card. That error should go away as long as all files are in the same location.
