Go easy on me. How the F do I craft syringes?

    Hey all-

One of the UI changes from FC3 that's throwing me for a loop is how to craft syringes... the healing ones auto craft. I've poked around the menu and I cannot find where to craft the other syringes. I have at least one of them unlocked, the one that makes you run/swim faster.

    HALP!

All syringes craft automatically in FC4. Don't worry.

If you haven't changed the default setting, it's the TAB key.

If you have the necessary plants, bring up the weapon wheel, RMB to switch to syringe wheel, move mouse left, right, up, or down to designate which syringe you want to craft, then LMB while that syringe is highlighted to craft.

Am I the only one who found it to be frustrating and unintuitive most of the time? Sometimes I stop and just craft a bunch of syringes.. not because I need them at the moment but because why not. Half the time when trying to "hover" over a particular syringe and lmb press to craft it and just the small movement of the click takes that syringe out of "focus" and I have to refocus it over and over in order to craft all available syringes.. and then sometimes accidentally using a syringe when just trying to craft one. I'd have to say it is my least favorite part of the game.

^ Yeah console derived weapon and item wheels always feel out of place and clunky on PC. Worse yet ports often have poor translation of gamepad to mouse controls, so just selecting something on a wheel can be maddening.

It's just one of the many things we have to put up with regarding ports. That said, at least these are 4 slot wheels, which are far easier to use with mouse than wheels that have 6 or 8 slots. If you remember to quickly thrust your mouse a good inch or more left, right, up or down, you'll get far better results than trying to circle around with it. Think of your mouse as a big mini toggle or D-Pad and one inch L, R, U of D toggling that direction, because that's basically what the control scheme is taken from. I'm sure this is why they made it a two layer shift-able wheel system for weapons and syringes, vs having all 8 on one wheel, which would have been extremely maddening.

It wouldn't be so bad if you could place your extra non healing syringes in the loot bag instead of syringe bag, but once crafted, they take up syringe slots.

Jesus. Ok well now I don't feel like an idiot not not intuiting this... I mean seriously, wtf? I know this comes from consoles but FC3 just had a menu for this.

It's to facilitate using a non healing syringe on the fly quickly. Crafting them is bit of a pain until you get the hang of it, but all you have to do once they're crafted is open syringe wheel and thrust mouse one of 4 directions, after which the syringe will be injected.

Thanks everyone, "Tab" was the magic key I was completely missing. I get it now... but man I think it's poor design. Anyway, thanks guys! I'll try and see if I can pull off a mid-battle syringe with the tab + swipe method. I could see that making sense once you get the hang of it.

Actually using syringes didn't bother me once I got the hang of it. Just the crafting. It would be AWESOME if they would add a "craft all available syringes" shortcut. Something like TAB+C would be nice.
