I have created a website for everyone to use across ALL PLATFORMS, where tracks are suggested in an organized style, approved for posting, then ultimately edited in on its proper page. All necessary information for you to get started will be shown on the front page. Also, it will be updated constantly with tutorials and such that will help players who love the game, but are "stuck" at a certain skill level. Even better would be for Redlynx to feature it on their website, or help me get it to a presentable form where it can be featured, so that everyone who loves trials will always have a place to go to find tracks and such! Please give it a peek and if you have any feedback for me, go to the contact menu, and email me anything you think of! Thanks, and here's the link!
By the way, anyone with a YouTube account that primarily focuses on trials can link it under Media->YouTube Channels, and if I, or one of the editors approves of it, we will write it in on the page.
EDIT: For anyone not following the discussion, the site has been updated so that comments don't need to be approved anymore, and you can comment anonymously. Please be responsible with this feature, and make sure that if you do comment, please keep it in correct format so I can copy and paste it in order to permanently post it. If the format is completely disregarded (not even an attempt to be close), I may not consider the track, so keep that in mind. Also, I NEED ADMINS FROM PS4 AND XBOX 360. If you're a well known person among the Trials community (or Twitch), please follow the instructions on the front page of the site to become an editor so I can have tracks approved from all consoles! Thanks, and enjoy the site guys!
I checked out the site. It is ok. It does seem pretty easy for forum users to search for the specific tracks they want to play. I think maybe add an alphabetical list so builders tracks stay next to each other so you can see all their tracks. Also maybe add platform lists as well so they know instantly what tracks they can actually play. I'll sticky this and see if other builders get interested in it and hope you get a good list going. Hopefully get more feedback from builders too.Originally Posted by EliteZalba Go to original post
Also maybe you could add tracks individually off track central that you like just to boost the list while other people also contribute their tracks to it.
Thanks for the feedback! This was pretty much just an English project that I'm looking to take to the next level. Basically, what you see so far is just the beginning of what is planned for this site. I do plan on getting an alphabetized system for creators in place, and a system where users can filter by platforms as you mentioned. Lastly, just to repeat, ANYONE WITH A TRIALS CENTERED YOUTUBE ACCOUNT MAY COMMENT IN THEIR CHANNEL UNDER THE MEDIA->YOUTUBE CHANNELS PAGE! Feel free to email with feedback and such, or to become a contributor/author/editor. Hopefully the site can be organized sometime in the next week (of course with help from several skilled members of the community), so that all of you Trials fans can always have tracks to play!Originally Posted by DJ_2wItchY Go to original post
hi , i have only just seen this with it being crimbo and the new year , although i havent looked at it yet this sounds like a fantastic idea. Will take a look now my self.
edit - fantastic idea
Looks simple to use and very usable towards gaining more coverage for builders , well done. Although im not sure i would qualify to approve tracks because my skill level is of only a short while i will certainly be adding some tracks that i like to maybe be approved.
Great idea and hopefully this will give a base for all sorts of different style tracks to be showcased within thier own right. Love the tutorial idea also. This is something i shall use my self lol
Good to see someone trying to grow track central and putting time and effort in , nice work bud![]()
This needs to be clarified a bit. You require gameplay or tutorials on your channel to be considered. I currently only have Editor notes so mine didn't make it (yet)....By the way, anyone with a YouTube account that primarily focuses on trials can link it under Media->YouTube Channels, ...
(and) ANYONE WITH A TRIALS CENTERED YOUTUBE ACCOUNT MAY COMMENT IN THEIR CHANNEL UNDER THE MEDIA->YOUTUBE CHANNELS PAGE!
Question: Will we have to comment on someone's video or post, or will there be a General page for everyone, like a mini-forum or message board?
i also wondered this as when i tried to add my you tube channel it asked for my email and so forth which as things stand with alot of hacking of late i am alittle weary to add my details to a place i know little about.
Can you add your channel without emails and so forth or do you have to become an official member , not that there is anything wrong with the site but airing on the side of caution at the moment.
If jolans editor notes are the ones that are on the forum where they are in a word doc type then i would deffiently find away in sharing them on the site as i would imagine a vast amount of people have used these tutorials and would imagine they have been a vast amount of help to all. I know i had help from one of them on a subject of triggering things outside the physics bubble which i completely forgot to mention so thanx man they are a great help. Awesome you took the time to make them for people to use.
kind regards
Here's the quickest way I can describe this:
At the bottom of all of the track pages, the youtube page, and a few others, there is a comment box. YOU DON'T NEED AN ACCOUNT TO COMMENT, but when you submit, it won't show at first. I, or one of the editors, needs to approve the comment, which will then just be published on the page. This will usually be done within 24 hours. You can suggest any tracks, whether you are the creator or not, by commenting them IN THE PROPER FORMAT, and I will have someone check out the track to see if it is good enough to be posted. If you want to be someone who approves tracks, send me an email at elitezalba.trials@gmail.com, and I will send you an invitation to become a contributor, author, or editor. I am in the process of getting an organization system in place for the tracks, but for now, just bear with the short lists.
When attempting to comment your YouTube channel, I will approve it if it is mostly populated with at least 10-20 trials gameplay videos, preferably of the user created tracks. Look at the other channels to get an idea of what I'm looking for.
A detailed explanation is given in the big chunk of text on the front page, but if you have questions or just want to talk to me, email me, or find me in a Twitch stream (Username is EliteZalba, and I'm usually in one of the top streams for Xbox One or PC)
Is this ever gonna get any tracks added to the link? I've seen no change on this since the last time I looked at it. I think this will probably lose it's sticky with no changes to the actual site at all.
Sadly I think this could have been very useful to use having that page open while playing trials, community banding together to get a huge list of awesome tracks in one place for all to see and find easily. But, nobody seems to want to promote their tracks. Guess the method of just filtering though 1000s of tracks on TC is good enough![]()
