Game crashes when I try to save or when I die.

    Hi!

When ever I save the game with the save button in the menu the game freezes, the background still does the throwing sand in the air animation still but I have no controls at all, I try to hit escape to get back into the game, waiting for like an hour, nothing happens. Then I just alt tab out and turn the game off. Try play again. Uplay says it can't reach the cloud. SINCE 25:TH DECEMBER! When ever I die this happens too, the game freezes into black background, no way josé that I have any control there.

Must be my internet connection then, turning off firewall. Still happening. Turn on firewall again and try search for a co-op game, it works fine, no idea why I have a save function since its not my game but I turned that on, guess what, the save game thing is there too. What the heck is this?

Restarting game with same problem. Can't connect to cloud. Go to savegame on computer instead of cloud, still wants cloud why? Is this because I bought the game on steam? How do I move my game from steam to Uplay if you having problems with them?

Sincerely an annoyed and concerned Customer that wounders if I should Buy ubisoft games still.

    Same problem here, as well

This is like the pre-DLC permadeath; I have to try as hard as possible not to die. When I do, there is still audio of the game (gunfire, animals, etc.) but the screen is black. Pressing ESC also makes the pause menu noise, but it doesn't actually pause or bring you to the menu. Task manager says the game is still responding, but it essentially crashes when I die and I have to kill the game in task manager. Also running Win 8.1.

I'm still having this problem, can just fool around in the game, but it never saves

I'm still having this problem, can just fool around in the game, but it never saves the game, when I leave the game or it freezes, when I die or I try to save! Then one time it says, that I can't save, because it is saving right now, what it looks like that "it saves all the time"
What I noticed, is that, when the game starts, it normaly says: "logging in" and at a certain moment it sayed something like "logging in successful", but since I have this problem, this doesn't appear right before the game starts, so I guess there is a problem witht the connection between the game and my account! Can it have something to do with the fact that I canced the password time ago??
I have right the same problem as user "Scottressler", did he resolve the problem ????

Same here, crashes when i die, save button crashes game, game does not save. UNPLAYABLE, Stuck at 1.74%. Many, many people with this same issue but all they are interested in is releasing payed DLC instead of fixing the game people have already paid for.

Ubisoft support have no fix, THE LAST RESPONSE I GOT FROM SUPPORT WAS TO REINSTALL THE GAME AND THEN IF THAT DOESN'T WORK RE-INSTALL IT AGAIN. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!!!!!!

I have reinstalled the game three times and jumped through every hoop they have asked me too. I have literally spent hours complying with their support suggestions. NOTHING WORKS , not even the latest (fourth) patch. My system more than complies with minimum spec and plays every game i have ever purchased flawlessly even FC3.

THIS IS NOT A FRAME RATE OR GRAPHIC QUALITY ISSUE, IT IS A BASIC OPERATIONAL ISSUE THAT PREVENTS THE GAME FROM BEING PLAYED.

They have offered no further suggestions and have referred my issue to "another department" and i have not heard anything for 2 weeks. They now are ignoring my support ticket hoping i will go away and concede the money i have paid to them.

I at least hope in Australia where the consumer law courts have a lot of power that they cop a large fine for knowingly selling a broken product to the public.

UBISOFT..... I WILL BE FOLLOWING THIS UP VIA AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER PROCESSES. IT'S A MATTER OF PRINCIPLE, I DON'T CARE LESS ABOUT THE MONEY!!!!

well, I guess, that doesn't help, because if there are just some few users having this problem, Ubisoft won't react. But if we keep alive this issue, maybe we find more people having the same problem.
I think that it has something to do with the conectiong the game has with the cloud or the Ubisoft account. I have this thought, that the problems startet when I changed the password for my Ubisoft account. Looks like as there is no syncronisation between the game and the Ubisoft servers. Just a guess! Would be interesting to know if the other users here have some news?? I contacted them over the Uplay, no response for now.
I also reinstalled the game 2 times, also the Uplay client. After that I thought to have resolved the problem, because at that point the game, when I start it, when it tries to "log in" it told me "log in sucessful", downloading statistics and so on, something it didn't say before, but ........ when I try to safe or I die, it freezes!!!!!!!!!!!! Can still hear sounds, but have to restart over the game!!!!!

got the solution from Uplay support!!!

I got the solution from the Uplay Italy support:
disinstall the game (i did it, but maybe it works also without, just try first)
    go to C:\Programs Files (X86)\Ubisoft\Ubisoftgamelaucher\Savegames\[ directory alpha-numeric)
go to 420 directory, and delete everything in it, save it first, somewhere else

    then go to: C:\Users\"User Account"\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 4\
cut and copy the content somewhere else,
launch the Uplay client, go to options and de-activate iCloud sync
    now re-install the game

    should work!
