1.6 ptch broke the game | Forums

I haven't played in a week or so and went to start up today and UBI wanted to patch the game first. I allowed and checked the box to start game when done. After a bit... FC64dll "File corrupted!. This program has been manipulated and maybe it's infected by a Virus or cracked. This file won't work anymore.

Click okay and get:

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc0000142). Click OK to close the application.

That's pretty much been my game experience tonight.

Any thoughts?

Assuming it's a legit vs cracked copy (you didn't really say), have you tried verifying the game file cache with Uplay? Uplay's downloader and installer seem to cause problems themselves.
