Lack of communication options in Co-Op

So I think we'd all agree that Co-Op is one of the main selling points in Far Cry 4. I absolutely loved playing it with a RL friend while using Skype.

Thing is though, it's also rather fun to join a random stranger. He marks Noore's fortress on the map signalling that's the reason he invited a backup into his world, and then uses the "Go to my waypoint"-command. It's still fun at that point.

I find out he's a horrible driver hitting every single fence along the way, we completed some karma missions, hell I even tried to hijack a truck real quick but ended up blowing it to pieces, resulting in the stranger "Flipping me the bird".

After we got Noore's fortress though, he marked Yuma's on the map. And that was a problem.

See, he didn't have access to Northern Kyrat yet. And there was no way for me to inform him that at this point it's impossible to reach that region. For a moment I started looking for my microphone (assuming voice chat functions in Co-Op, haven't tried it yet), but decided I didn't have the time nor would it be rather enjoyful for my partner to hear my voice after 30 minutes of fun without.
Any future plans for some basic text chat? Or maybe some more simple expressions alongside "Flip the bird" such as "That's impossible." or "I wouldn't advise it.".

Progress only saves for the host, when the public found out about this "laziness" from Ubisoft, they were outraged. Only play co-op if you don't care about your progress not being saved. It's either one or the other, not both players.

Honestly for me, that was the final nail in the coffin, I was waiting so eagerly to finally play a "great co-op". When I found out how co-op really operates, I lost all desire to play it. It's a damn shame too.
