    Hang gliding

Is it just me that finds it very strange once you pick up a Hang Glider, that it just starts dropping like a rock. Far Cry 3 had it correct, you can "Hang Glide" with ease. But in 4 once you get airborne, you just start dropping instead of an even Hang Glide. I'm thinking that once you get simi close to where you want to go. Exit the glider and use your "Wings" and then parachute. You might get a longer distance........Seems that there are so many damn bugs in this game, that it just becomes frustrating as hell to play it.

I don't see that problem at all. Maybe the glide angle is a little steeper in FC4, or maybe we just can't glide so far in such mountainous terrain? Whatever the case, it's hardly dropping like a rock for me.

The only glitch I have noticed occurs with one particular glider. In the village where you first join with the Golden Path (I forget the name) there are 2 hang gliders. The southernmost one always gets caught on a bush during launch and dumps you a few meters down the cliff then crashes. Luckily the other glider seems to work alright.

I decided early on it was an altitude thing (less air = less lift), but when you couple that with no ability to pitch up, it might be a broken model after all.

Not that big a deal to me.

I guess what I'm driving at here is this. In 3 you were able to "Trim" your glider. In 4 your unable to Trim. Meaning getting the Glider at a natural position by trimming the glider to a up. That feature is missing. Thus is why I call it falling like a rock. Once you take off, your already in a downward position that drops you instead of of keeping the glider stable so that you can "Glide". Have you ever been hang gliding before?? That's my point.

Played both 3 and 4 extensively. Haven't really noticed any significant difference in HG performance between the two. Unlike the every 100 feet animal attacks in 4. .)

Well it seems that I'm out numbered here on the HG issue. All I want to do, is be able to trim the flight......BTW Peter, how long have you been Gliding, and where???

I think it's more of a case that there's less vertical distance between your takeoff point and landing. I usually overcome this by flying over a river or lake wherever possible.
