    Lag issues and Randomly Spawning Enemies

    So I started this game up cut and dry, pretty simple. Straight and Narrow install. So as soon as I start playing, it's a little laggy, that's fine, I can deal, but when Min leaves the room and I start controlling my character I wander around the room for a good 20 minutes trying to figure out where to go. I find a few chests and some letters scattered around the area, and head on the most obvious path out, the gold adorned door at the bottom of the second set of steps, but the door won't open. I eventually restart at last checkpoint just incase I messed something up. I can open the gold door now, go into the room and there's my friend from the bus, two guards, and a floating cell phone, can't do anything. I Shift+Tab and things start happening so I get back in and the next trigger happened, I can go through another door and encounter an entire situation. Golden Path is here to save me and I've got to run to a non-existent truck, but instead run through a solid wooden gate. I'm like, "Well this is crap.", and jump off the cliff to my death. Brought back to the last checkpoint, I can see the car now, I get in, Shift+Tab because we need to be going because people are shooting, things happen again, I Shift+Tab back and there we go, Elephant kicks the gate down and my driver starts moving. Now I'm stuck at the scene where I need to sneak my way to the Golden Path checkpoint, Only when I get to a pool, a guard randomly spawns infront of me. Easily handled with a kukri through the precious, delicious, inner reds. I jump in and swim under water to avoid another two guards that weren't there before, and keep going. Something goes wrong. I'm declared out of range of the mission and somehow fail despite persuing the mission goal like I'm supposed to. I end up save-quiting because it's getting annoying how so many things aren't going like they're supposed to and that's how I got here and am explaining this long-winded scenario in which I want to know WTF is going on with FarCry 4 and why I can't actually play it like I want to.

    I seriously hope you guys will actually help me, because this issue is so confusing. I was really looking forward to the game and now I can't even enjoy it.

    Please, someone tell me what's going on, because I really don't want to have wasted money on a digital brick of useless space on my hard drive.

    PC spec, drivers, and all that good stuff?

    Such bizarre happenings aren't always game code related.

    I would try verifying the game files with UPLAY. It may be some are corrupted and giving you bad play. The path up the river is linear and is not open world and although i've never done it, it doesn't surprise me that you can get an out of bounds message. there are plenty of walkthroughs to see what is SUPPOSSED TO HAPPEN NEXT.

    VERIFY FILES this shows to verify game files from UPLAY ;

    The game on PC is full of bugs and the consoles do much better. I have had grey screens with audio and no video and messages of "far cry 4 has stopped working" and had the game shut down many times. But with all the useful suggestion for modifying the game files, etc. I must say, i have not had any problems for the last 100 hours of game play. I feel if it's not broke dont fix it,so I am still using version 1.4 and have no experience with 1.5 or 1.6.

    Stuttering: Change the zeros to a 1 like this ( DisableLoadingMip0="1" GPUMaxBufferedFrames="1" ) go to start > documents > my games > FarCry 4 >large numbered file> then gamerprofile> edit make changes and save

    Wont load or black screen ect. Start - Control panel - System - System - Device manager - remove HID stuff other than USB

    The game for many doesnt like console controllers plugged in. It likes larger amounts of memory, like say 16 GB ( I am running 8 GB with no problems on lower graphics settings). It does not like SLI or multiple GPU's (i have an AMD 7850 - 2GB). FC4 has a hard time rendering the large amount of graphic information and that may cause a crash, to my mind. So they lowered the distant graphic rendering with the latest patch to try to cure that.

    You can download fraps and have a frames per second counter on screen while playing. Do that, and change your settings for video and all the advanced settings one by one and see the difference. Anything that boosts your framerate will help you. If the the quality suffers alot and you only get a minor boost change it back to suit your taste. I found it made a big difference for my gameplay (around 40 FPS on low).
