Far Cry 4 crashed and now will not work

I was driving around and ran into a hill, then the game crashed. Now it will crash right after it opens the initial loading screen. I did what I could that initially fixed it to no avail. Any fixes? I am getting really sick of these crashes..

    Same

This is also happening to me, it has happened to me multiple times. The game would crash, then begin to start crashing at the start up.

The fun thing about this game IS the game play. The hooptie part about this game is the bugs. This I know to be true. Also no luck with a mic yet and there is no text chat. That does suck.

Conceptually speaking... there is a Verify Files option in the Uplay GUI. I have had to use it twice so far for 2 out of the last 3 patches. Immediately after install it fixed errors and after the 1.6 patch it fixed errors (2MB downloaded separate after Verify Files). The most recent ~30MB patch didn't throw any visible errors.

To get to the verify files option was something like click on Games at the top of the Uplay window, then Far Cry 4 icon or whatever it displays on the left. Mine is default at icon. Then there is a drop-down arrow on the grey Far Cry 4 button. Click it and click Verify Files.

If that doesn't work, then maybe your graphics driver or direct x got hosed? Could be other causes sure. Conceptually speaking a Verify Files would correct it. If it is simply a behind-the-GUI crc, md5, etc checksum of game files, there ya go. It does take the time to it would to read each file and compute a hash. If it corrupted your registry then you have to go to that road. Good luck. Somebody at Ubisoft should be answering this stuff here.. Straight up. I remember this same type of buggy frustration back in the CS days with Far Cry 1. I thought many times and ready many other people's forum posts... especially in Steam forums... before I risked hosing my whole system.

    peace

One thing you are missing out on is game save files. Since you are on PC its possible to save your files after the completion of each mission or outpost taking or? There is a simple way that takes less than a minute for me to copy and paste the save files into a folder and use them to replace the ones the game is opperating off of.

That way I always can restart my game from any point in the progression I want to. I can even send copies to others which I have and have them install and use the files.

If the crash straightens out for thats best, but to have start over and lose 20 hours of game play is horrible.
You can try to fix corrupted files by doing a verfication on UPLAY.\
