I still have to keep unplugging and plugging back in the controller just to keep the progessing. When will this error be fixed? I have to leave my controller unplugged just so I can access the title screen to start the game. While playing the controller causes characters to not appear or errors if a mission is in progress. Please assist me with this issue.
I've been using my wireless Xbox 360 controller since the beginning, I usually only play on the weekends and between 5-7:30 am before work but on the weekends I play never closing the game from 6 am until after 2 pm and I have never had an issue. Are you using a wired controller? I leave me game open for 9 or more hours every week and I've never seen this issue. Whats the deal?
I am experiencing the same issue. I'm on Windows 7 64-bit using the latest xbox 360 accessory drivers (version 1.2 per Microsoft) with a wireless 360 controller and Genuine Microsoft wireless adapter. When the wireless adapter is plugged in and I'm playing with a controller events don't seem to load and sometimes I can't open doors or progress through missions without alt-tabing. I have yet to see an official acknowledgement from the developers that they are even aware of this issue and are planning to do anything about it........
I have a wired XBox One controller (w/ newest drivers), and was able to play the game prior to patch 1.6.
Since updating to 1.6 (and 1.7), the game's quality and functionality have deteriorated.
Now I have to unplug the XB pad in order for the game to load, and unplug again in order to activate missions or achieve checkpoints. (When the XB pad is plugged in, no such interfaces appear where they should).
Many surrounding landscapes now suffer from invisible Tetris-like geometric shapes hidden from view (causing their trees to appear floating in air) until I manually approach those areas, which triggers LOD loading pause - also for the lower-left HUD mini-map to fill the invisible patches with solid land. This never occurred prior to patch 1.6.
Here's a sample screenshot of the invisible texture problem - what should be green mountains is just gray-blue nothingness...

Mortars no longer function - now they merely launch a harmless puff of smoke with no explosives (neither visual, sound, nor damage effects)
I'm at Karma level 7, still on the lower half of the game map, and have verified all files via UPlay = solving nothing.

I have an ASUS mobo too. I wonder if it's something to do with a USB controller that everyone with this issue has?Originally Posted by supersmurfninja Go to original post
I just get a black screen unless I unplug the controller. Haven't been able to play the game for 2 months.
My mobo's USB driver is the newest one available from the Asus website (Dec 2013), and I separately installed the XBox One controller drivers from the Microsoft site.
Seems like somebody on the FC4 programming team would have recognized that PC users aren't solely keyboardists/mousers, and that some of us prefer pad controllers.
Weirder is that I was playing through the game smoothly prior to the 1.6 patch.
When my wireless ****le is plugged in my FarCry4 crashes after about 5 minutes to a white screen.
If I unplug my wireless ****le I can play this game for as long as I want.
I could also play this game OK prior to the 1.6 patch
OMG you can't even say wireless D O N G L E on this strange forum that make you login EVERY visit
