I have had about 2 patches over the last 5 days and after I got the earlier one I played the City Of Pain mission. As those of you who have played it will know the best weapon is Throwing Knives. However when I came to the scene where a goon is climbing the watchtower I threw a knife only to find it was a molotov, so naturally I failed. When I respawned I selected Knife and this time it was a lump of bait. It ended up turning a 20 minute mission into 45 minutes and I nearly abandoned it. Since the second patch it seems to happen less.
Has anyone else had this happen ?
Yes it happened to me on a number of occasions and not just in the City of Pain. Scrolling the throwables with a mouse wheel is too sensitive a process and it seems that the slightest movement changes the weapon. Not sure if its a bug or just an unfortunate property of mouse wheels..
I'm tending to favor the recurve bow over the knife because it is also silent but it has more ammo and doesn't use the mouse wheel.
This glitch had gone away but appears to have returned with the most recent patch. I very nearly gave up trying to play City Of Pain because I kept throwing Bait or Molotovs instead of Throwing Knives. Is there any resolution to this problem ?
Edit* I don't use the mouse wheel, I press "1" and select them onscreen.
Help me to understand your problem pls . You select the throwing knives with the scroll wheel then you walk around and when you want to use them after a certain time something else like grenades / molotov / bait is selected and obviously thrown instead of the throwing knives ? Did you made sure they are selected in the lower right corner ? Iam asking because ive played the city of pain too with a combination of the sandman 1911 and throwing knives and i selected the throwing knives at the beginning of the mission and i they always stayed in my throwables selection , you can see that in my video if you have a look at the lower right corner you see that the throwing knives always stayed selected :
100 % agreeing with you . I felt like that they made the throwable switch less sensitive like it was on far cry 3 wich is good because it became more accurate that way . I got a mice with a very "hard to scroll" scrollwheel where you pretty much got no infinite scroll but each scroll got a clear defined bump so you feel that you did a scroll and with that mice my throwable switches are accurate all the way . Far Cry 4 got many problems but i personaly never had problems switching the throwables .Originally Posted by Patu Go to original post
