    What's your favorite setup?

Pretty self explanatory. What's your favorite 4 weapons to use? What about it appeals to you and how do you use it?

(Apologies for not knowing all the names of the weapons)
    -sidearm grenade launcher
-Auto-crossbow (optical scope and extended magazine)
    -MG42 (extended magazine)
-Semi-automatic .50 cal (suppressor, extended magazine, best scope)

The auto-crossbow is incredibly satisfying to use in stealth, and the 50 cal will instantly kill everyone and everything in the game if shot in the head, making it very useful. I'm constantly trying out different "Oh crap, my cover's blown" weapons, but for now I'm having a lot of fun with the MG42 because it rips everything in front of it to shreds. Finally, the 'blooper' is the best sidearm for any vehicle because it requires no precision and demolishes everything in its path with a healthy explosion. There's something very satisfying about flying around in the gyrocopter, seeing a skirmish, and raining hell from above with the grenade launcher. I'm planning to toy around with a suppressed pistol in place of the crossbow sooner or later.

If I'm just wandering around I like the A52 assault rifle, Buzzsaw, AS-50 sniper rifle and D2
For missions I will switch the D2 out for the grenade launcher. Sometimes the Bow instead of the AS-50 or the LK1018 with LCAM or the shreader.

A shotgun is really nice for eagles. I don't like the autocrossbow. I know the bow so well but don't have the same confidence with the auto.

For general open world gameplay it's:

Vector (never drop it once I get it)
    Grenade launcher
    Shotgun (87, Bull, D2)
    Sniper (suppressed)

For actual missions I replace the shotgun with an LMG, that's about it. I try to use as many guns as possible, but I keep ending up with that loadout, it just feels very balanced and versatile to me.. There are so many vehicles that I can't go without a launcher or explosive.

I'm a bit disappointed that I have to have a one-handed gun, I can't get my perfect FC3 loadout that is Vector, shotgun, LMG and sniper.

Big fan of mines in this game, throwing them at heavies is really effective.

@trapezius1: Haha, I love throwing mines, too!

I usually use the .44, .700 Nitro, BZ19 and the MS16. For Missions or liberating outposts I use the Autocross for Alarms, the SA-50 silenced, the Galil A52 and the LK-1018 for the Helicopters.

Sidearm is usually a Stinger - fast firing and accurate.
Buzzsaw for obvious reasons, including bringing down helicopters.
Z93 Sniper rifle to send the enemy to meet Kyra early.
M-79 grenade launcher is the one weapon I couldn't do without, it brings down helicopters and I have so much experience that I rarely miss when firing from a buzzer.

I am a big fan of Molotovs and Throwing Knives. Molotovs to roast enemies who are cheeky and knives when I need to save hostages.

Harpoon Gun, Flare Gun, Cannon (signature weapon) and LK-1018 (the guided missile launcher).

An odd yet surprisingly effective setup.

    South Territory
    M79
    AK, STG-90, MKG, Shredder, Bushman
    Recurve Bow w/ Marksman SIght
Z93 W/ Suppressor, Enhanced Sight, and Extended Mag

    North Territory
    M79
    Buzzsaw
    Recurve Bow w/ Marksman Sight
    SA-50

The reason I listed so many for the assault rifle/machine gun slot in the South is because if you pick the best one, realistically it's not unlocked soon enough to be using it throughout the South part of the game.

I found the Auto Crossbow to be disappointing for a few reasons.

    1. It's not as powerful or versatile as the Recurve Bow

    2. It's less immersive because it doesn't make sense in the first place to have a semi auto mini crossbow

    3. Equipping it means not being able to use the M79 in your Sidearm slot, which is arguably THE best weapon for quick vehicle takedowns while driving

You can have multiple sidearms, just press y/triangle and it'll switch between them in vehicles. I've only tried it with two, but I imagine that it'd be possible to use 3 or 4. The autocrossbow's biggest advantage over the bow is the optical sight, which gives you more zoom than the bow's sights, as well as its faster firerate which is useful if you miss. Overall it's a fun weapon- obviously not the best stealth weapon, but one that's entertaining to play with. The harpoon gun seemed entertaining but I haven't tried it out enough yet.

That's not what I meant. I figured people would know I was using just one "Sidearm" classified weapon so that the other 3 slots could contain 2 handed weapons. I consider equipping two sidearms via putting one in a non sidearm restricted slot to be a waste of a slot.

And I've used the Autocross and I have to disagree that it's scope gives it an advantage over the Recurve Bow. Simple reason being the Z93 easily handles anything from range, and you can get it early, and the Recurve is great for short to med range with Marksman SIght. There are also tricks to use short range that make the rapid firing of the Autocross unnecessary.

I often equip the Recurve when there are two enemies close to each other talking and a third nearby. The distant one gets an arrow, the second an arrow or thrown knife, the 3rd gets rushed for a takedown. With only two close to each other it's WAY simpler, just get close enough for the takedown, shoot an arrow at one and takedown the other fast enough to keep them from alerting others.

It's all about cover, positioning, and timing for me. I like it that way vs spamming bolts from a a fake weapon. There were times when I liked the Autocross for silently dispatching fast moving animals while sneaking, but it's just not useful enough overall to trade for my M79. One of the things I dislike most about the Autocross is the only way you can trust it for a one shot kill and not blowing stealth is getting close enough for a headshot, preferably on a non moving target, which somewhat negates the usefulness of the scope. The Recurve once mastered is a very effective one shot stealth weapon for overtaking camps.
