    21:9 FOV Anyone!?

I couldn't believe it when I upgraded my monitor to an LG Flatron 34UM95-P - I updated Far Cry 4 to the latest version (version 1.5 I believe it was), ran it, set 3440x1440 in 21:9, checked FOV slider and it wasn't there. I edited the GamerProfile.XML file and nothing happened. The game has such bad FOV that I seriously can't even play it. I just quit - I couldn't physically handle it.

I think the version 1.6 patch came out today. I was hopeful, but nothing - no FOV control for us 21:9 users. I hate this. I loved Far Cry 4 playing in 1920x1080 in 16:9. Had no trouble with it beyond the occasional small bug. Now it's completely unplayable with my new monitor. It feels like a serious insult, after having paid about £30 for the game and even getting it for my brothers as well.

Please, for the love of everything that moves, give us 21:9 users FOV control!

I was complaining about this to my brother earlier, who wanted to see what I was talking about. I set the game in 2560 x 1440 in 16:9, set the FOV all the way up and aligned my view to have two trees, one on either side of the screen. I changed the resolution to 3440x1440 in 21:9 and the trees were gone - out of the field of view.

Insane to think that 16:9 > 21:9 in FOV. It's a mathematical impossibility. Excellent indeed...!
I hope we get this fixed after the holidays. Happy holidays to everyone including the team at Ubisoft!
