Loop problem with the checkpoint
Hi All,
Today I've been busy creating my first MP track and wanted to create a looping.
As a newbie builder I looked on youtube and found two video's how to make one and decided to give it a try.
Unfortunately the loop doesn't work correct.
The piece that should become vissible after being unvissible and vice versa goes perfect but.....if I let myself drop in the loop (which could overcome a user) and choose to restart from the last checkpoint, the first piece that should be unvissible is vissible and there is no way to finnish the track
Anyone a idea what I need to do to make this work well?
Greetings,
Frances

Triggers don't work exactly the same in multiplayer mode as in Trials mode, in fact they are a bit different (bugged?) in some areas like resetting state/position.
I am really careful with any triggers in beta MP level editor right now as I don't know the unexpected results that come from more complex timing/triggers.

I see TeriXeri already linked to my thread.
Currently we will just have to wait until we get a response from RL to see how the triggers will work on reset. I am assuming currently it's just a bug and will get fixed, else it will seriously limit possibilities on mp tracks, or we would have to use ridiculous workarounds, wich would be a shame.
However, If you want a proper setup to make it work currently with the bug, I think you can, but I don't know if it will be worth it.
For example, you can set up an impulse system for when you reset on the checkpoint, so there is a new impulse to make it visible again. (assuming the compare event functions properly in mp, as I haven't tested that yet)
If you don't know how to set it up, let me know and I'll post an image for it.
If you encounter other problems or questions on how things work differently in the mp editor, feel free to just post them in my other thread. I'll make sure I keep updating the OP so RL can investigate/fix issues as soon as possible.

Fran, if you have the object set as reset on checkpoint off when it comes back to it when you press b it will stay there, depending on how you have got the impulse set.
If you have everything set as on when you press b, it should go back to normal when you press it, thing is the way you have to set it up maybe a bit problematic.
If you are using an area trigger you want to disable the disable after hit box off, so it will persist in using it at a later cause if you want to press b.
The editor has a strange sense of irony where something should and shouldn't work, so don't be beat up about it.
Hey, sound effects don't work under water unless they are underwater sound effects.

Leave the bottom of the loop open. Players can either hit the loop and keep their speed, or skip the loop & hit the brakes.

Thanks for the answers people
@Teri: I've seen you're test trigger/bomb/sound on the pc, nice animation!
I'm a total newbie in building but I'm proud of my latest track "High in the Sky".
Unfortunately I still didn;t get the C4 to work....really don't know what I do wrong there..lol but eventually I will get better at it
Thinking to buy Fusion also on the pc, because building on the pc is much more easy for me then on a console (the homefront love to watch tv also ones in a while...lolol)
I wish there were easier tutorials on youtube how to create things because most developers, including the official ones run through the menu so fast that I nd to stop the video each time over and over again to see what they selected (and still I miss something inbetween..aarrgghh)
Greets to all,
Frances
