So, today Uplay tells me I have to update Far Cry 4.
"Cool" I thought, maybe they'll fix more bugs.
But instead the new update is forcing me to download 31.4 GB!!!!
Why the F do I have to download the entire game again for an update??
I've verified the files and they all check out OK, but the update insists I download the entire game again to play.
What the Hell!!!??? Is this supposed to be normal???
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!
Not normal afaik. Me and those I know downloaded ~1.3GB, eg. just the patch data.Originally Posted by crodps Go to original post

I've done that about 4 times already and nothing. Still 31 GB to download.
Here's how it always goes:

Verify Files:
And then the update:
C'mon Ubisoft...
For real?
Can anyone help?
Definitely only a 1.3gb patch for me. So that is not normal. Honestly though.. unless you have a data cap on your internet or you have REALLY slow internet you can probably just re-download it far quicker than waiting for a reply or fix from Ubisoft.
Wait.. who am I kidding.. even if you have REALLY slow internet you can still re-download it before Ubisoft fixes it![]()
No mods of any kind. Game is as was initially downloaded from Uplay...Originally Posted by Tricky1481 Go to original post
And as I showed, Uplay says all files are "OK"
Sadly, I figured you were right and just left the damn thing download overnight...Originally Posted by EKRboi Go to original post
This is REALLY going to suck if I have to download the entire game every time a new patch is released...
