Dear All,
since 2 days i have a crazy problem with a Xbox One contoler on PC. For boring scenarios, crafting etc I'm plug-in the PC to the AVR and playing the game with a gamepad on the TV.
Since 2 days, after the start of the game, i can only successfully pass the first screen but in the main menu nothing happens anymore with the gamepad:
1. No button is working
2. I can detach it and attach again - the game is enabling it (you can see some popups) but again no button is working
3. I have tried an older gamepad from the previous xbox version - the same issue
4. Both gamepads are working with other games
Anybody an idea why Far Cry 4 is not working with any gamepad ?
Thanks in advance
wellcome to my world.. better... wellcome to ubisoft bug world...

Yep, since DAY ONE I have not been able to play the game with a controller (Xbox One controller or X360) and today It downloads update 1.6.0 then gives me a screen telling me the game may not of installed correctly....what?!?!.....so I re install this 30+GB of trash only to find out the EXACT same bugs from day one with regards to the controller are STILL there. Each patch says how it fixed various issues to the controls......BULLSH*T!!.
Uninstalled this trash, complete waste of HDD space.
No more money to these thieves and liars from me.
287 games on my system, easily 95+% of them are controller compatible and those 95+% work FULLY with a controller as stated...out of 287 games, Far Cry 4 is the ONE AND ONLY game that has problems with a controller.
Exact same problem on 2 systems, 2 completely different systems.
I'm done with it. Ubisoft robbed me once again this year of my money, they will not do it again...I'm out.
If you do not use ALT+TAB to switch to the desktop and then back to the game to "reactivate" it, the game will freeze on its next function call, like in a Script Debug Mode with all Breakpoints toggled on!Originally Posted by timespaceon Go to original post
