(Excuse-me for my english)
Hello,
I have played 2 hours without crash.
That's what I did:
- I uninstall manually all my NVIDIA’s drivers and use the software "Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)"
- I remove the second graphics card and i dusted it. I found a big mosquito on the electronic elements.
- I update the graphical BIOS in the first card (there is one, and I did not know).
- I remove the first graphics card and i dusted it to.
- I plug the second card and i make the BIOS update.
- I plug back each card on the initial slot and plug the SLI cable.
- I install the NVIDIA drivers (347.09) without Geforce Experience and the audio hd .
- I use the sound card of the motherboard so i disable the « High Definition Audio » of NVIDIA in the Device manager.
I will still test a few hours in game. Before i can play only 1 minute to 10 minutes.
Same thing here. Except instead of the black screen of death, it's the white screen of death...I've verified the files and even updated all drivers for the hardware. There must be tons of lines of code in this game, so it's probably hard to track some of this down. Many systems are going on at once. It seems to be related to a video thing though cause that's what Windows 7 is reporting.
I can report that i have similar problems with my game @ the moment, it randomly crashes to desktop, first with a freezse, then a fast blackscreen, then it says fc4 had stopped working back on desktop.
This problem or issue occurred after the latest ubisoft patch and latest nvidia driver 347.09 running a Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 here.
Other games dont have this problem.
Someone is looking into your ticket now. Thanks!Originally Posted by Skremash Go to original post

As I've mentioned on another crash topic, try to switch temporarily to a windowed mode during these problem missions where the game crashes. Shangri la missions were an issue for me and when the game crashed it was clearly switching out of full screen for some odd reason. So I just played those missions in a window and then switched back to fullscreen after completion and I've never had a crash other than those shangri la mission crashes. Worth a try.Originally Posted by sleakitweasel Go to original post
I'm on the mission where you receive the bow and it keep crashing right after I take the portal to the 2nd section. I've checked the files via Uplay and that didn't help. My only option now is windowed mode. Such a shame that these missions have such bugs and it's quite frustrating when the game was released almost 2 months ago. I'm glad I got this game for "free."

Hmm, I crahed once last night after the update, but I also use mods. So, I just downloaded the newest version of the mod, installed it, and voila, back to playing with no issues. You guys aren't using mods are you? If so just reinstall the latest version. That worked for me.
If not using mods, I have no idea. I haven't had any crashes w/ FC4 actually (apart from the one last night).
i5 4670k and GTX980 on Windows 8.1 (I really think 8.1 is superior for gaming, I had more issues w/ windows 7 personally. Especially with BF4 windows 8.1 made all the difference)
