Hi xMiiSTY!
Thank you for being a voice here on the PC forums for us to communicate with
Would you please pass the following information & requests onto the dev team:
1) BUG (?): Turning the Objective Reminder off in the in-game interface options menu doesn't appear to work or perhaps it's not clear what it's function is (maybe it suppresses text alerts about the objective). Shouldn't it turn off/remove at least the objective pointer arrows (yellow and white) if not the objective marker itself? At the moment it doesn't seem to do anything.
2) Turning off the Ammo Indicator also turns off the throwable graphics which IS correctly ammo, but it makes it difficult for a player to know what throwable he/she has equipped. Since this graphic normaly disappears after a second could this option either (A) not disable the grenade/throwable graphic, (B) be split into a seperate option to turn Throwable Indicator On/Off, or (C) show currently equipped thowable and it's ammo somehow on the menu bar when minimap or other menus are displayed?
3) BUG: The glider and wingsuit controls do not seem to allow the user to pitch back (nose up) only nose down. I don't know if this has any relation to reversing the flight pitch controls in the menu as I haven't tested it.
4) BUG: If the minimap is turned off (using the On/Off option) then objectives (yellow and white) showing in the users first person view HUD will NOT update their distance as you approach or move away from them. They stay at a fixed number. They should update (please don't remove the distance indicator).
5) Nearly every icon in the map legend can be turned off except for plant leaves.
Can these also be toggled so players can remove plants from the minimap if they desire?
6) Can the zoom function for cameras and sniper scopes be separated from selecting thowable analog check?
It would be nice also if we could assign next/previous weapon to the scroll wheel without breaking the function of the scroll wheel while looking through the camera/scopes.
7) Would the team please consider adding support for an additional dat/fat that loads last in the load order (for example patch_mod.dat) so that modders could make modifications without touching the official ubisoft patch files?
Having support to load patch_000.dat to patch_999.dat (or something similar) would be incredible as we could make modular modifications that only affected one particular aspect of the game. So for example a modder could create patch_001.dat that only turned off blinking objects and patch_043.dat that only changed shop prices to x2 double their amount and so forth. Modding could then be MODular![]()
I know this is a lot to ask and if the corporate stance is not to officially support modding then maybe the team might find placing the file version.txt works best when placed separately in patch_lastload.dat wink wink
8) BUG (sort of): If the keybindings are manually changed from INTERACT presshold to just press then you can no longer accept quest from questgivers inside of safehouses. This bug really only presents in a modified game since the default behavior for INTERACT (and most all keys) is press and hold. In fact questgivers will ONLY accept E press and hold. Changing E to any other key does not function as a workaround. Again I realize this does not affect the unmodified game, therefore it's not technically a bug (well it is, but it's a bug almost no user will encounter if using the original unmodified game).
9) Thank you for all you hard work in developing and continuing to develop a great entry in the Far Cry series! I love the game and appreciate all of the hard work you've put it into it (seriously).
Thank you so much!![]()
