Hate to dig up an old thread, but this is incredibly frustrating. I've played forever on an iPhone 4S without having any issue, since the first month or two that the game was released. Just switched to Android three weeks ago and this issue with the controls sometimes makes the game unplayable.

I have tried cleaning the screen really well, cleaning my hands really well, killing apps and processes, repositioning the controls, playing with device plugged in... nothing helps. Sometimes i'll get one or two runs in with no issues, other times I reach the fault limit which I had never come even remotely close to in all my time playing previously. This glitch makes the most difficult tracks impossible to get anything other than bronze. The island tracks, and the new track pack I don't have a chance on.

I also noticed switching over that at one point on Rock Wall, the small plateau at the beginning before you detonate bridge to avoid the loop... the tires actually go below the riding surface, it seemed to slow down the bike at lower levels, but now with a fully upgraded bike it doesn't affect play.

Anyhow, i'm still playing several hours each day, this game is like crack to me. I've spent way more money that I should have on this game, close to $200 i'd estimate. So it really sucks that this is happening now, it doesn't seem likely that it's an operating system thing, probably a device problem as i'm on a really cheap phone now. Hopefully upgraded to something high end towards the end of the year and fingers crossed that the same problems won't be present with a more powerful device.

That's very strange, I almost NEVER have had issues with the controls not working on Android. I thought that was an iOS thing...Maybe it's a device thing though? I personally only have issues when my phone heats up and it causes the game speed to change (usually speeds up or is inconsistent), which is just as frustrating. I'm not sure whether it's the game or the device though. Maybe a combination of both?

I've been trough this issue with 3 different android devices
I can't play more than 30mn or i loose controls too.
i'm used to it now even if it is really annoying
