Timohthey... ya jinxed me brah.
Yesterday, even doing slot races, I was losing control on all maps![]()
thanks for responding swan. its nice to just have this acknowledged so people dont tell us to clean our screens all the time.
i remember a few months ago after an update there was a major issue with controls going wonky and you guys fixed it right away. was it related to trying to fix this issue?
Hey Guys,
Here's some tips to improve your controls.
1. Whenever a new update comes out, reset your controls, then reposition them. This helps in case there was any update to the HUD or the controls specifically.
2. Raise those buttons! This is actually how I prefer to play. Your Device will feel more centered and its less stressful on your thumbs.
3. When you raise those buttons, MAKE SURE TO KEEP THEM PARALLEL. Meaning, keep them in the same side by side formation that comes up at default. If you move a button slightly under another button, the 2 will overlap and register both as is why sometimes you'll lean back when trying to lean forward.
4. Try moving the restart button down and to the left, but just a little from the upper right corner. This makes restarts much easier and you won't put so much stress on your hands!
Hope this helps guys. Picking up a new laptop today (it finally came in!) and should be doing some streaming this weekend. I'll try to cover bugs and glitches, and how I deal with them. I'll post more information on it in a new thread when I get things up and running. It's gonna be pretty Awesome!
Take Care Guys,

Sounds worth a try, I am having this happend so often I'm wasting so many tickets it's not even funny! With these controls ignoring me and the crashes before, during and after track runs I'm just watching my tickets disappear!Originally Posted by llDumptruckll Go to original post
I just keep thinking did the even test this update? How could all these issues not have been noticed? I mean HOW???
Do what ooswannyoo recommended doing and edit you controls up the screen a bit. You can do this in the pause menu. I moved the 4 control buttons up about a quarter of an inch and I've had no problems since. Ooswannyoo's post has some great info, which it should as he's the lead designer on the game.Originally Posted by LinkinJon Go to original post
Super glad to have stumbled upon this thread! This control issue is the reason I'm on the forum instead of playing now. Just removed my OtterBox, cleaned it inside and out, washed my hands, now my case is drying. Good to know on the whole button relocation thing. maybe I should've checked the forum first.. anyways thanks for the help guys![]()
Since you changed your control locations? It took me a couple of days to get used to the new positions. I kept finding that my fingers would wander back to the old ones. Give it time if that's what you did.Originally Posted by joeloxford39 Go to original post
This definitely seems to be a hardware/firmware glitch at least on Android devices and is probably caused by touch sensor power issues especially with heavy apps. The only advice I can give now is to keep your device plugged in when playing, if possible. Other thing to try is to position the bike control button pairs far apart VERTICALLY, i.e. placing the lean controls on the bottom of the screen and raising the gas/brake buttons as high as they go. If the screen glitches, the best way to fix it is to put your device to sleep and then back on (you can see the glitch by going to any other app and try multi touching when it happens).
